We had a great time on this tour. We've both been to chinatown before, but this tour provided a whole new insight into the area. Our tourguide was knowledgable and had lots of fun interesting facts to share.

Tour guide did not tell us enough about the history of the Chinese. How they were treated upon arriving in America. How did they establish their businesses.
Rating: 5 Great Walking Tour of Chinatown

Our tour guide, Hank, was absolutely wonderful. He gave us a glimpse of what it was like growing up in chinatown. The food was great and the people at Wok Wiz were very nice! Highly Recommend the tour!

I was visiting from Australia and two of my brother's work colleagues invited me to do the wok wiz tour with them. Shirley and Hank were really fun, they told us a lot about the history of Chinatown and their own personal history. I really liked the food and tea we tasted on the tour and enjoyed seeing Chinatown from a local's perspective. I would recommend this tour to visitors as well as people living locally. I was also relieved to not be walking up too many hills!
Rating: 4 Good but not great

Definitely get to see parts of Chinatown that you'd otherwise miss. Food was only fair. May have been better to have saved the extra charge for lunch and eaten dim sum at one of the places recommended on the tour by the guide.

Our guide was a bit "all over the place" with the stories. I didn't feel like I learned that much about why the area was formed, how it developed, etc. He talked more about different foods shown in the shop windows, different toys, etc. He told us where to buy certain things (not that important to me, as I have been to Chinatown before). Also, the meal was not that exotic and not even dim sum, really. Nothing you wouldn't have had before- spring rolls, chow mein. I did like the visit to the tea shop and the tasting that followed- but it was given by the shop owner, not the tour guide.
Rating: 5 Just and excellent tour and tour guide

Just the right length of time. The lunch came at the right time and was excellent. Have already recommended this tour to others.

I highly recommend this tour. Our guide was so charming and friendly and she really made us all feel like a part of the group. I loved learning about the history of Chinatown and getting "insider info" on some of the best shops. Lunch was amazing! We had a wonderful time!
Rating: 5 Very pleasant tour, fun, worth the time and money

This was a great tour! Dorothy Chow was our guide. She talked about the history of Chinatown, took us around to see the sights, and introduced us to shop owners. She was warm and personal with a sense of humor and depth of understanding of Chinatown. Lunch was a lot of fun, too! We tried many different things -- dim sum and a dish of noodles. I would highly recommend this tour. It was not physically challenging. It was informative. It was fun. A wonderful experience!

My mother, son and I took part in the walking tour of China town. The our guide was very pleasant and fun. Everyone was very thoughtful and patience (my mom was in a wheelchair) We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour and learned alot of interesting things about Chinatown and the Chinese people who live there. I highly recommend it to all tourist visiting the area. Have a strong helper tho if you bring disabled people along.
