The highlight of this tour was the Dim Sum lunch. The food was delicious and it was very helpful to have a Guide to explain what each dish was and the best way to eat it. The tour itself was a little light on historic details. We learned more about the Guide than Chinatown itself.

As a local, this was a tour of a part of the Bay Area I had seen only from the 'fringe.' Our guide provided us an insiders view of this very vibrant, diverse and essential part of the City by the Bay. Great insights into local life. The tour included a wonderful multi-course lunch with good advice about cooking, eating and shopping in Chinatown. We ended with a relaxing time in the Red Blossum Tea House and learned much about the art of tea. I will certainly bring others on this tour when they visit.

The tour was a good overview of Chinatown. After the tour ended, my husband and I went back to a few of the locations and spent a little more time at each. The luncheon was delicious. Our tour guide was personable, and we also met with Shirley, the owner of Wok Wiz. She is exceptionally nice and wants everyone to have a good time.

The tour was good up to a point. However there was a lot of grumbling when our guide talked too much about himself. How he was struggling a long on social security and the miles he traveled to be our guide that day. How the fare was high but he got a reduction because of his being a senior. All this took a lot of time with us standing on a busy corner roasting in the sun. Then he loudly produced at the luncheon some twenty dollar bills and gave them to the hostess at our table proclaiming loudly that they had been given to him by some one on a tour this hostess had done and had forgotton to give her. The inference being that twenties were expected for tips. The hostess at the table was clearly embarrassed and so were we. It was unprofessional.

We enjoyed the tour. We were not sure how or what to order if we were to eat in Chinatown on our own, so it was nice to have some coaching as to how the dim sum process worked. Next time we come back we will know where to go and what to expect. Interesting part of town, and the personal history given by the tour guide was a nice touch.

| Hello - my friend and I took the tour on Mon Oct 1 from 10 - 100pm with lunch at a dim sum restaurant. Your guide was terrific....extremely informative, knowledgeable and just fun. I feel we had enough walking (no too much, just right) covering (which I am sure) is just a small area of Chinatown. However the places we saw and learned about were just great. We certainly got a good overview of the area.
We left the tour having a fun time and great food. I am sorry I just cannot remember the guide's name (woman) as I am writing this about a month later. Sorry for the delay. She is a tremendous asset to your company.
Thank you and I will be sure to recommend Wok Wiz to anyone who asks about my trip to San Francisco.

I just wanted to let you know that I found the WokWiz Daily Tour very, very enjoyable. Our tour guide, Lola, was very pleasant and very informative. She had answers to all my questions and made the tour a great experience.

Lola did a fantastic job touring us around Chinatown. She included concise history, personal experiences, suggestions for future visits, and introduced us to various shopkeepers. The fortune cookie factory tour was "eye opening" and the tea shop was delightful. I've visited Chinatown numerous times and was very happy with the tour. My mother, who was visiting from Oregon and had lived in SF in the early 1950's, found the tour as enjoyable as I did.

Who could have wished for a better guide than Alberta. Born and raised in Chinatown, she was so knowledgeable of its history and we just loved the extra snippets about her childhood and family - it was as if we were being escorted by a family friend. Favourites were the tea shop, the temple and the fruit and vegetable markets. Unfortunately daughter and I could not go for dim sum ... maybe next time.
