It's a wonderful tour. So much to see and learn. We were able to relax and really enjoy the dim sum lunch. Even my husband, the picky eater, was happy because our guide explained each item and how best to eat and savor it. No one in our group wanted to leave at the end of the tour. We had all become friends and were having a great time! |

I can't say enough good things about Shirley and the tour. Shirley is a hoot and great tour guide. One of the first things she said to us is that she was hungry and couldn't wait to eat. That got my attention and I could tell this was a woman after my own heart. The only comment I would add is that maybe she could allow more time and for photographs. I meet some other tourists and they had also been on the wok Wiz tour and felt the same as I did. |

Excellent A+ tour guide with expert long standing knowledge of China Town. Excellent tea shop and insights into the area that no one would know without taking the tour. Excellent dining recommendations and yummy dim sum. Highly Recommended for the adventurous foodie who wants to know more than just the food but also background. |

The important areas got covered; a bit of history, sociology, current affairs, economics, etc. However, the coverage of these areas was a bit haphazard and lacked unification.
The meal was very good. Hank excelled when it came to food. |

Hank gave us a real understanding and appreciation of Chinatown. Knowledgeable and delightful. Although we had lived in San Francisco for a number of years, we learned many new things on the tour. |

Dorothy, our first generation, beautiful Chinese guide led us on a personal tour of Chinatown which included personal details from her life and history of the area. Several of the group had read, "A Crack in the Edge of the World", and Dorothy reeinforced the history we had read in that book. Living history. |

We have been to San Francisco several times and decided to try something new.
The tour was interesting, informative and delicious! We were lucky enough to have Ms. Fong-Torres as our guide, an added bonus. Seeing Chinatown from her perspective gave us insight we could not have gotten by just walking around as we had done in the past.
We HIGHLY recommend the tour. |

My husband and I packed our agenda full when visiting San Francisco for our 5th Wedding Anniversary, so full that we now need a vacation from our vacation. The Wok Wiz Tour was by far the best thing we did while we were there. Shirley was amazing. We learned so much about Chinese history and culture and had so much fun!!! The food was excellent and I highly recommend this to anyone. If I could I would give it six stars! |

I had been to Chinatown a few times before on my own walking randomly through the neighborhood. I thought I had gotten some sense of it, but then I went on the Wok Wiz tour and well, I realized how much I didn't know. It really gave me a different perspective on it and now is one of my favorite areas of San Francisco. The of course want to support local merchants so they do encourage you to patronize the shops, but it definitely wasn't pushy or anything. My only wish is that we could have spent another two or three hours, or maybe the whole day touring. It was well worth it. |
