| We hoped, as WokWiz advertised, that we'd get to see China Town and the tour would be interesting. Instead, we stood way too long in front of plaques, were taken to shops our guide was only trying to give business to (LOW quality, boring shops), never had the tea tasting, and didn't get to see much other than the doorway to the home our guide was born in, the restaurant our guide's family used to own, the guy our guide dated when she was 14. Down the block and around the corner is a really interesting sight...One block down is this amazing clinker brick building -- but do you think we could see any of these things? The kids on our tour literally looked like they were about to drop dead of boredom.
If you want to stand for two hours being bored to death, pressured to buy junk, and hardly walk anywhere, take this tour. |

| We were a family of four adults. The tour and guide gave us an interesting prospective on how Chinatown came into being and has evolved over the years. I think the "famous" narrow alley with the hanging clothes was a prop, and a bit hokey, but what the heck...we're tourists and it did prove a point... However, there was plenty of other, real clothes hanging out of windows all over Chinatown.
One of the things that impressed me most was that we were never pressured into purchasing the wares from the stores we were taken into, which hastened things along ... and we also enjoyed their presentations.
Overall, it was informative and enjoyable. |

| this was a fun and informative view of Chinatown. The tea shop was excellent and provided a lot of information I did not know. The lunch was delicious and the group as a whole was friendly and enjoyable ! |

| The tour is a comfortable walk through Chinatown and led by knowledgeable tour guides. We had the pleasure of being in Chuck's group, and as the program said accurately "everyone loves Chuck." Our tour was informative and had personal stories and experiences from the tour guide. The meal was not overwhelming at the Imperial Palace, but the tour was enough to make the experience well worth the money. I would recommend this to anyone going to the Bay Area and even to those residents of the area who have yet to do any of the "touristy" stuff in the city. |

| My husband & I went on this tour on our recent visit to San Francisco. Our guide was very informative, we learned history of China Town, visited sites we would never found on our own, and came away glad we took the time for the tour. We went back to Chinatown after the tour and revisited some of the places on the tour. This is probably not a good tour if you don't enjoy walking or have difficulty walking long distances. The walking is pretty fast pace at times in order to see all of the sites. Bring good walking shoes. I highly recommend this tour to anyone of any age. |

| We enjoyed the tour and found it much more enjoyable and informative than just wandering around on our own. Our 9 year old son enjoyed it also. Our tour leader was fun and interesting; our only caution is that she talked a little too long sometimes when she would stop us to explain or point out something. The two hour length and then lunch was just right for us. |

| My husband and I recently took our grandson to San Francisco for the first time. He loves history and we wanted him to see the city from a historical perspective whenever possible. Our tour through Chinatown with Hank gave him that perspective, since Hank grew up in Chinatown. We loved the walks through different alleys and seeing through Hank's eyes how things have changed over the decades, though in essence, Chinatown remains the same. I can highly recommend this tour, especially for people with Children, since it allows the whole family to become more than just "tourists." |
