| My wife wanted to go on this tour so I purchased the tickets for her birthday. Our tour guide (Dorothy) was really a wonderful person. She was friendly, knowledgeable and answered my constant questions. We plan to come back to do the China Town/Little Italy (Chow/Cio) tour when we have a chance. If you're looking to learn about the history of San Francisco and enjoy great food, this is highly recommended. | ||||||

| My husband and I were on a weekend get-away to San Fran. I had seen Shirley Fong-Torres on a number of TV programs and was very excited about the idea of this tour of Chinatown. Making reservations was a breeze with Zerve. Our guide, Dorthy, was very friendly and well spoken. We really enjoyed hearing her personal experiences growing up in Chinatown. She was very knowledgable about the history of the area. And the Dim Sum lunch was very good. When we return to San Fran, I'd like to try another one of Wok Wiz's tours. | ||||||

| Great fun! You could do it on your own, but you'd never find all the neat spots, or get the background info that you get on this tour. Up the alleys, into the shrines, and off to the markets. It was a full morning, ending with a wide variety Dim Sum lunch. We'd do it again and have already reccommended it! | ||||||

| This was my first visit to San Francisco and the tour was recommended by the Concierge at my hotel. The tour not only provided a history of China town, but a vivid view of every day life in action as we walked the streets. Observing people as they went about their daily routines was fascinating. Customs and traditions abound in China town and I was in awe of the lifestyle as it evolved around me. We walked areas of a neighborhood that I may not have felt comfortable doing alone and yet I was completely comfortable with it all. Kudos to my tour guide Mrs. Quouck....she was fabulous. It would have been great to spend hours chatting with her. | ||||||

| My daughter(25) who lives in SF and I,a New Yorker had Lola as our guide. It was interesting to hear and see where she grew up in Chinatown and the uniquely Chinese aspects of her life. For those with mobility issues this is a good tour as it does not involve miles of walking and we went up one hill slowly. Enjoyed the fortune cookie shop and the Red blossom tea shop. We actually went back there and spent an unhurried 1/2 hour picking out some teas that are just what I wanted. Lola pointed out sights and sounds that one would miss just roaming around on your own. I usually do not like orgainized tours but this is definitely the way to see Chinatown. The shops we stopped at were worth the stops. Lunch at the dim sum restaurant was good and Lola told us what we were having and the sauces to use with each. Definitely a worthwhile tour. | ||||||

| My wife and I and another couple took the Wok Wiz walking tour of Chinatown last week and had an absolute great time. We are from Phoenix and visit San Francisco about every five years for three or four days. We spend most of that time in Chinatown as the food and shopping are fantastic. This year we took the walking tour for the first time and saw sites and learned so much about the "culture within a culture" which Chinatown represents. Our guide was a native born San Franciscan and was raised in Chinatown and knew it intimately. She was wonderful. Our tour ended with a sampler Dim Sum luncheon which was some of the best Dim Sum we have ever had. Needless to say we would heartily recommend this award winning walk/experience to tourists as well as natives of S.F. Dr. and Mrs. Edward Abraham Phoenix, Arizona | ||||||

| Lola gave us a great history lesson of Chinatown. If we would have gone out on our own, we wouldn't have realized the significance of everything. The lunch was good . We had a variety of things to try. We recommend the walking tour of Chinatown! | ||||||

| I had been meaning to do this for 16 years and finally did it. It was well worth it and I learned a lot. I especially give high marks to our guide, who grew up in Chinatown. I highly recommend this to locals and visitors alike who have any interest in SF or Chinatown (or US!) history. | ||||||

| We've done this type of walking tour before, and found them very informative and entertaining, but this one just didn't do it. The guide (Hank?) was very nice, but it felt like he was playing it by ear, and it didn't really feel like we saw more of Chinatown than we could have on our own. The Dim Sum lunch was "dumbed down" TOO much. I understand that not everybody wants to eat chicken feet, but filling us up on a bland noodle dish seemed a shame when Dim Sum was the draw. The Dim Sum we DID have was good, though. | ||||||

| Hank was our tourguide, and spent too much time talking about himself or graffiti, and too little time about Chinatown. We covered very little ground - maybe 3 or 4 blocks. I was hoping to see the kitchens of Chinatown, or be shown how they make certain dishes. The high point was the lunch. | ||||||

| Our guide Hank was certainly pleasant enough, but he did not provide an organized presentation or much information on the history of Chinatown. The lunch was so-so. Not worth the money. For a far better experience for less money, join Izu on her Flower Power tour of the Haight district. | ||||||

| I thought that Hank our guide was great...very knowledgeable about the area having grown up there. The kids enjoyed the tour (16 and 12) in particular the dim sum meal and the temple. I would have liked to be taken to the entrance to Chinatown...to see the gates... Also Hank said because the tour was so large it wasn't wise to go to the markets as the crowds. It is something I think would be fun and important to see, if that is the case with a big group than it should be split up so that we can experience that area of Chinatown | ||||||

| Highlights were: lunch, the visit to Temple, and the tea shop. Very nice hosts at each of these stops; have nice memories of the Temple and the woman there who said a prayer over us and gave us a token of good luck. The young owner of the tea shop was also very informative. Went back and bought stuff there. The stories told along the tour were less engaging; perhaps there could have been more substance. It felt a bit drawn out or slow. Beautiful part of the city; glad I did the tour; saw more of the shops and the architecture than I would have on my own. Happy New Year! | ||||||
