Our tour guide, Alberta, was great. She planned ahead to avoid long delays in visiting high points of the tour due to a group of 100 children on a field trip. She accomodated the unseasonably hot weather by moving us to shaded spots to relay her comments and stories. All in all a great tour, visiting a temple, a tea shop, seafood shops--both live fish and dried, a fortune cookie factory, food shops and merchants along with the history of the buildings and present associations too. Finishing with the Dim Sum lunch was tasty! I would recommend the tour to anyone interested in the history of San Francisco, especially associated with Chinatown. |

Chuck was lots of fun and very knowledgeable about the history of China Town. I enjoyed the tea tasting especially. I would have enjoyed more stops like this one at the best shops but the places we visited were great. |

I thought our host Chuck was very warm and friendly. I enjoyed listening to him speak. I liked when he told little snipets of his experience being Chinese. I love history so I enjoyed all of it. The restaurant you took us to was very clean, pretty and the food was delicious and fresh. Only a very small thing, there could have been more room at the table for the chairs to all fit. I enjoyed Alice at Red Blossom, I liked buying cookies at the Golden cookie. I liked the temple visit and the stops outside the meat and vegtable markets. I want to sneak in to Portsmouth Square and paint the building bright red and green the way it should be.
Thank you for the fun adventure. |

We are still talking about our Wok Wiz tour with Alberta. She is such a fun person and really packs in the sights. Many of the sights were places we would never have seen on our own. We especially enjoyed the tea tasting, temple, herb shop, the quick visit with Erhu... I guess we just loved it all. Even our daughters, (ages 22 and 23) agree it was one of the highlights of our trip to San Francisco. We learned so much about Chinese culture and especially enjoyed Alberta's personal stories about growing up, marrying and raising her family there. The lunch was a bit rushed but we didn't care, we were hungry. I was wondering if we would feel obligated to purchase from the stores we visited but never once felt it was necessary. In fact we couldn't wait to return to a few, unfortunately one was closed for several hours and we never got back. Thanks, Alberta. |

Although I've been to Chinatown many times as a local and now as a tourist, I saw things I had never seen before ... shops, alleyways and even a vigorous game of Mah Jong. The tour was informative and fun - what a wonderful way to spend 3 hours! Our guide was energetic and knew Chinatown inside and out; she even taught us a few words of Cantonese. I highly recommend this tour. |

My husband and I really enjoyed the walking tour of Chinatown with the dim sum lunch. We were lucky enough to have Alberta, who not only was so knowledgeable but also funny as well. She was a great tour guide and really helped us to understand the culture of Chinatown a lot more.
The only area where I would have liked to see some improvement was the time we spent in the fortune cookie factory. I thought we were going to see the actual production of the cookies but it seemed that we spent about 45 seconds in there. I was disappointed with that but overall the tour was great.
I would recommend this company to others and would do another tour with them as well. Thank you Wok Wiz. |

My husband and I visited San Francisco during Spring Break with my son and nephew. We took the Wiz Wok tour and was fortunate to be in a small group. Alberta was our tour guide. She was very informative and made the tour thoroughly enjoyable. We especially enjoyed the tea shop! I would strongly recommend this tour if you have an interest in Chinatown. Lunch was included in our tour and it was excellent. |

When I go on vacation I always sign up for tours in order to learn more about the area I'm traveling in. It occurred to me why not go on a tour in my own area? I am so glad I did! I loved it. Lola was fun and interesting. She had first hand knowledge since she grew up in Chinatown. We visited a Tea Shop, a fortune cookie factory, had Dim Sum for lunch, got to visit with the others in the group over lunch. They were from several different places and it was very interesting and fun to talk to them too! The weather was beautiful. I came away with a lot of knowledge of Chinatown, a better understanding of its people and the feeling that I could return and feel comfortable exploring the shops and trying the many different restaurants! I highly recommend the tour. Very fun! |

Wonderful tour of China Town. You learn a great deal of the history and visit several shops on the tour. Afterwards you can spend time shopping at the recommended stores. Our granchildren (8 & 10) were not so enthusiastic of the lunch. A bit too authentic for them, but enjoyed by all the adults. |

My fellow retirees and I really enjoyed this tour. We learned a lot about the Chinese Immigrants living in Chinatown.....their customs, traditions, culture, and cuisine. Our guide was very knowledgeable and brought us to some of the best places in Chinatown. We loved the tea shop and came home with lots of tea! Lunch was very good.....nice variety and plenty of food. This tour was not only fun but a good value for your tourist dollar! |
