My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour of Chinatown. Our tour guide was a delightful woman who was extremely knowledgeable about Chinatown. She was very personable and kept everyone engaged. She made the history of Chinatown come to life by talking about her own family and life in Chinatown going back over 70 years ago. We had a great lunch with our tour guide afterwards which gave us more time to ask questions. I highly recommend this tour.

i loved this tour, our guide, herman young, did a great job of really personalizing our tour with his life experiences. we loved getting to eat dim sum, going to the temple and checking out the fresh markets. he was a great guide and the 3 hours went by SOOOO quickly. i definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience chinatown from an insider's perspective.

Taking a Wok Wiz tour was my wife's idea. I generally don't care for tours of any kind. But Alberta, our tour guide (who was born and raised in San Francisco's Chinatown), was energetic, informed, and entertaining. She led us to a tea shop where we saw the Chinese way of brewing -- and thinking about -- tea; to a temple in which the celebration of somebody's 23rd birthday happened to be going on (unlike anything I'd ever seen); to an herbalist (Chinese medicine); to a fortune-cookie factory, which was basically a large one-room shop; to a meat market -- live chickens, fish, and frogs; to vegetable stalls (where she told us how things we'll probably never see again are cooked); past a jade store; and down an alley in which Chinatown scenes are often filmed. And she did all this among the Autumn Moon festival's enormous crowds. We finished with a dim sum lunch in a restaurant. This was fun and enlightening in itself, but it also plunked us down among the dozen-or-so other tour members so we got a chance to meet them. If we ever get back to San Francisco (I used to live there) I might even consider taking the tour again. And if we do, I hope Alberta is our guide.

The tour was very informative as our guide grew up in Chinatown and continues to live there. She made the tour very personable.

We were fortunate to have Ms. Fong - Torres as our tour guide and she was wonderful! We visited the herbal shop, temple, and tea house, it was like visiting old friends. Everyone in Chinatown was so friendly. The dim sum was great - it was more than enough - my husband got full! Thanks for a great memory!

I enjoyed this tour. It gave a great overview of Chinatown. I thought you really got to sample what Chinatown is all about. We got to taste a dragon's eyeball! Where else are you going to do that! We also got to see a few different things such as a herbalist, and a tea shop and meat and seafood market. I really liked hearing about Chinese history and lore. We visited an Taoist temple and the fortune cookie company. I loved walking the alleys and streets. This is a great tour especially for anyone who never been to Chinatown. I feel like I learned a lot about the culture. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone!

We really enjoyed our tour of Chinatown. Our tour guide gave us a lot of insight that we never could have figured out on our own, just by walking around the area ourselves. The lunch was really good too!

This tour was a great introduction to Chinatown! The tour guide was a native Chinatown resident. She shared interesting stories of her childhood life in Chinatown that were sometimes funny, sometimes serious, and always interesting. The tour was an easy walk with many stops in the non-tourist areas and the dim sum lunch at the end was delicious and filling.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the morning tour. My daughter was not sure why we needed a tour through China Town but was so glad we chose this tour. Loved all of the recommendations that were made on our tour-- from the tea tasting to our fabuolous dim sun lunch. Thank you so much for making a memorable tour. Kim and Allison

This tour was extremely enjoyable covering the current Chinatown, history, culture, traditions and more. The history of the Chinese immigrants along with the stops at the temple and the tea shop were so meaningful when explained by a true Chinatown native. The Perrys
