About the Tour de Farms:
Since 2006, we've been pedaling the Tour de Farms to highlight sustainable agriculture in the metro-Boston area.
The 2010 Tour de Farms will depart from Urban AdvenTours and travel out through Cambridge and Somerville to visit urban gardens before arriving at Waltham Fields Community Farm. Riders will have an extended stop to explore the farm, at which a light lunch focused on the farm's produce will be provided.
Riders will then be given the option to return to the city via the T at Alewife, or continue on the ride to visit Newton Community Farm and Allandale Farm in Brookline. The second leg of the ride will continue on at a faster pace, only intended for experienced cyclists. The ride will end at Urban AdvenTours. The ride to Waltham Fields is 15 miles. Total Mileage for the ride is 35 miles.

- Allandale Farm
This ride is available to a limited number of people and is likely to sell out. In the case of very severe weather the rain date is the following Sunday, August 8. Refunds are not available for this ride.
What Is Not Included?
Bike rentals are only included if you select the rental option when registering for the ride.
For those planning on bringing their own bikes on the ride: Please simply select the “Standard” ticket option to register for the event. Please check your tires and make sure that your bike is in good working order. If you need to register multiple attendees, please select the appropriate number of tickets corresponding to the number of riders in your group.
If you need a hybrid bike rental in addition to the event registration:
Please select the “Rental” option, which includes the registration fee plus the cost of the bike rental. If you reserve a rental, please answer the question asking for your height.
Please bring your own camera and film or memory stick. For your own comfort, you might consider bringing a bottle of water or sports drink and snacks.
