Unique View of SF Bay, GG Bridge & Alcatraz

Years ago I had taken the Adventure Cat Tour - I now live in Europe and was very glad to see that Adventure Cat still offers their unique Catamaran Bay Tours: They depart direct from Pier 39 and take you right around Alcatraz and under the GG Bridge -- Fantastic Views, calm sailing -- an adventure to see and enjoy. I loved it and can recommend it! It is much much more personal and superior to the Diesel-Belching Bay Tourist Cattle-Car Boat Tours! |

My husband went to San Francisco for our honeymoon. We wanted to do some sight seeing and the adventure cat did just that. They gave us a view that most don't see. We had a great time. |

We had an amazing time. We had never been to San Francisco before or a sailboat for that matter. It was something we will always remember. We sailed by Alcatraz and under the Golden Gate Bridge. Unfortunately it was a little foggy off and on and very cold to our standards. (We live in the desert), but the view was amazing. We say sea lions and dolphins all over the bay. If we ever come back we will for sure take this boat tour again! |

The idea of a sunset cruise was very appealing to us. The weather, however, wasn't the best. I suppose in SF, this is often the case. It was very cold and windy, so it was miserable for most of the cruise. The crew was pleasant and helpful. The small spread of snacks was decent, and most of the drink selection was fine. However, the instant coffee was terrible and the red wine was awful. That said, if it had been a warmer, calmer day, which can never be guaranteed in SF, I would recommend the trip. |

THE CREW WAS VERY NICE AND PROFESSIONAL. I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THEIR OFFER OF ANOTHER FREE SAIL AS A GROUP OF TEENAGERS ON OUR SAIL WERE VERY ROWDY AND LOUD.WE APPRECIATED THE OFFER BUT DIDN'T HAVE THE TIME. IT WASN'T THEIR FAULT WE WERE UNLUCKY ENOUGH TO ENDURE THE ROWDY TEEN GROUP. D.SMITH |

We had a great time! I want to go back and take my kiddo! The best part was going under the bridge and catching the waves. We stood in the front and held onto the railing. We also watched a competitiion going on with some wind surfers. It was the best birthday present ever =) |

We felt lucky that we chose this smaller catamaran rather than the larger boats. We were just a handful of families/groups on board. The staff were friendly and fun, and the engines were cut after we left the marina. A wonderful afternoon. |

This cruise was a really fun activity for me and a group of about 15 friends both local and visitors. We were able to see a beautiful sunset and sights while doing something unique. The staff on the boat was super friendly and extremely accommodating. They had a very nice spread of appetizers and beer & wine on the boat. Such a good time! |

My husband and I were in SF celebrating our anniversary. This cruise was a great way to see the city. The crew was great and they offered free appetizers and drinks. You sail right around Alcatraz and underneath the Golden Gate Bridge. It's a unique way to see the bay, and with only 20 or so people onboard, it was much more intimate than some of the big companies. I would definitely recommend this to couples. Bring a jacket, even in July it got very cold & windy. The company did have jackets onboard you could wear though. Great experience! |
