Adventure Cat Sailing Charters

It was a great cruise but be prepared for summer weather in San Francisco. It was freezing!

Last week our party of four adults and five children went sailing on the Adventure Cat. Everyone had a great time sailing around Alcatraz and under the Golden Gate Bridge. I recommend this trip for anyone visiting the Bay Area.

We enjoyed our sail on the Adventure CAT for a sunset cruise past Alcatraz and out to the Golden Gate bridge. We were fortunate the sky was fairly clear which provided great photos of the bridge. It was a little windy and the temperature was approximately 55-60 degrees Farnenheit, so my wife spent most of her time inside, while I took some digital photos on occasion.

Big boat cruises, too many people. This sunset cruise I have taken maybe 5-6 times over maybe 5-6 years. Each time I enjoy it more. I have done this with my previous wife, some of my grown up kids and on a date with a new woman in my life. Not one of them have anything to say about this trip except FANTASTIC as I myself feel. Believe me, it will not be the last time I will do this. One thing that has been added since my last trip is jackets. If you get cold, they have plenty to pass out. They claim one hour an a half. I don't think any of our trips was short of 2 hours. If you have any doubt, DON'T, you should have one of the best cruises on the San Fransico Bay every. The crew are super friendly too. Have a great Adventure.

Can get extremely windy on the water but nonetheless a lot of fun.

A wonderful cruise with beautiful views. The ride was smooth and the crew was very friendly. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to get some of the best views of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Alcatraz.

Combination of sail and power (when needed), close to the water, outstanding perspective and view of Alcatrez, Golden Gate Bridge, Ft. Baker, and looking back at San Francisco as the lights just begin to wink on here and there! Outstanding! Highly recommend!

The views were amazing!!! A must do!!!! Bring a jacket, its very windy!!!!

There were 9 of us. 6 from the East Bay and 3 from the British Columbia. Only one of us had done this tour before. I took my work team on a trip a couple of years ago. The weather was a little cold, but the trip was great. Good crew, nice views, and going under the Golden Gate was fantastic. Our BC friends got a lot of good pictures. It was their first time to California. Everyone loved the trip.

The trip left on time....the crew was very friendly and organized....it's a great value...for 30 bucks a person you get an hour and a half cruise around the bay...I took my nephew who was in town visiting...gives folks a great taste of sailing on the bay

Great way to see the SF Bay, including Alcatraz, Sausalito, GG Bridge and SF Waterfront. One of the best values for any local or visiting tourist. Hit the fish stands on Fisherman's Wharf afterwards for a crab sandwhich and Anchor Steam (under $11!) or take a stroll to Tadich Grill for the best fish in town (160 years running...).

As a local it is not often I go down to Pier 39. Saturday was an exception and I am so glad I made the trip. The day was fantastic. The boat took off on time, leisurely motored out until they could put up the sail and away we went. I was in the front of the boat with my partner sitting next to another group of locals who said the same thing I was thinking "This is an amazing ride I have never been under he Golden Gate Bridge in all my years in SF." Going out to the bridge is always exciting but for the brief moment going under the bridge and experiencing the quietness of being under it and see our fine city from the other side as you would if you were arriving in SF on a large cruise liner. This is worth the $35 and I feel it is money well spent.

The cruise was absolutely beautiful; the quiet of the catamaran made it even more so. The crew had the perfect mix of friendly and professional, smoothly tending to everything from sailing to tending bar. Stay comfy in the cabin or enjoy a front-row view outside. Travel light and use the jackets provided, they're great. Our group included my 80-yr. old mom and a pregnant niece; everyone had a wonderful time and talked about the experience for days. Couldn't have had more fun, thanks (and see you again soon)!

It's exhilarating to sail through the Bay and see all the sights, including the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge. A very enjoyable trip.
