Adventure Cat Sailing Charters

My partner and I have taken the Adventure Cat Bay Cruise twice now, and find it is one of the great underrated activities in San Francisco. The craft is stable in the stiffest winds and the crew unfailingly friendly. The cruise has a low-key feel, helped along by the reasonable bar. The itinerary--around Alcatraz, under the Golden Gate Bridge, and back to Pier 39--provides great sights, and at 90 minutes the cruise seems just the right duration.

We were looking for something quiet and relaxing to do on our mini-vacation to SF. This cruise was perfect. The bay was beautiful, the weather was beautiful, the boat was great, the crew was friendly. It was smooth sailing! Will definetly do this again!

Maybe it was because it was a nice, sunny, breezy day on the Bay; maybe because it was a small group on the boat; maybe it was because of the smooth but exhilarating ride, or the phenomenal views of the City, of Alcatraz or the Golden Gate; whatever it was, it was the best money we ever spent on any tour ever. Worth every penny.

My parents were in town from the East Coast and my Dad's birthday happened to fall on one of the days of their visit. None of us has ever been on a sailboat in the Bay so we decided to celebrate my Dad's special day by taking a sailing trip. It turned out to be really great. The weather was perfect, the views from the boat were amazing and the crew was super friendly. I would highly recommend this to out-of-towners and locals alike! Thanks Adventure Cat!

My wife and I really enjoyed the catamaran trip. It was quiet, relaxing, and laid back. We have taken motor cruiser trips and sail trips, and find that sail is much more enjoyable. The crew were very friendly, helpful, and informative. We enthusiastically recommend this to anyone wanting a comfortable, relaxing trip.

We had spectacular weather! The trip was really beautiful & fun & scenic. It was my husband's birthday and the perfect gift for him! We will definitely go again! My only complaint is that I would have liked it to be at least 1/2 hr-1 hr longer! ; - > The captain & crew guy were both very nice & low key and helpful too.

This is a very well run operation. You get a view of the city, the Golden Gate and the harbor which is simply unobtainable on land. At $30 a head I think it is a very good value. The captain and crew are both very professional and considerate of their guests. I envy them the opportunity to do this daily. I am very happy my wife and I took the trip.

This was a fun way to see Alcatraz and the GG bridge up close! The crew was nice, but not very talkative. You shouldn't expect a narrated tour or fancy hors d'oeuvres. However, it was definitely a great way to see the sights and spend time with loved ones.

In short - a fantastic way to see the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco skyline. You can move freely around the boat, both inside and outside. If you want to go outside, you might want to bring a fleece &/or a wind proof jacket. There's even snacks and drinks provided as part of the ticket. A thoroughly enjoyable excursion.

I planned the activity as part of a 50th birthday celebration. Our group of 5 included ages between 40 and 75 and everyone had a great time. The captain and crew were pleasant and accomodating. The boat was a nice size and not overcrowded and the drinks and hours d'oeuvres were a nice addition to the boat ride. I have visited San Francisco many times and found this to be one of the most enjoyable tourist type activities I have done. I will bring out of town visitors back for this. I also felt that it was a good value.

The Adventure Cat is the best boat tour in the SF Bay for sure. I've taken family and friends that come in to town and they all have said that it was one of the high lights of their trip. I would recomend the sunset cruise. It's a little bit more expensive, however very affordable, and includes 2 drinks, as well as appetizers(brie, crackers, chips, good bread, etc..) They always play really good music too!

The trip was smooth and every needed was provided on the boat. Good work everyone.
