get there early to locate the pier and gate.we got there 15 min earlier but missed the ride.no one picked up the phone to help us .i left a message over the voice mail,did recieve a call back next day with an apology and offer to reschedule. on board snacks and drinks are included in the price.have a jacket available ,it gets cold even in the summer months.

We lived in the Bay Area for 10 years and have recently moved to the Midwest (so I still think of myself as a "local" when it comes to being in San Francisco. When we returned to visit friends, we wanted to completely avoid the crowds and tourists at Pier 39, but we wanted our kids to get a good taste of the Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. We found the perfect was to achieve this -- Adventure Cat -- and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The boat was immaculate, the captain and crew were friendly, and the sailing was a blast! It felt like a chartered, private sail rather than a crowded tourist trap. The captain allowed the kids (and the adults) the freedom to play around and enjoy being on the open water -- he even let the kids (and the adults) steer home from the bridge. In all, it was fantastic and I would highly recommend it to anyone -- local or tourist. It was so great to sit on our boat with a total of 14 passengers and watch the masses stuff onto a slow-moving tourist ferry. We definitely had the better deal! My kids are 6 & 9, we were with another family with kids ages 7 & 9, and there was even a baby on the boat nestled comfortably on his father's chest in a front carrier. Safety, fun and excitement -- great deal!

This cruise was an enjoyable departure from the mundane San Fransisco tourist trap. Don't get me wrong I love the city, but it does get ridiculous. The cruise was great we were under sail completely. We met some very nice people, and enjoyed the sites immensely.

Comfortable boat with plenty of room, great tour of the bay at an affordable price. We had three in our party and all had a great time and were able to enjoy at our own pace and preference. Some choose to go out on the deck and get some wind and spray while one of our group wanted to stay inside where it was warmer and much less windy. This cruise will become a standard part of entertaining out of town guest when they visit.

Our family had a great trip - lovely sunny windy afternoon. Crew were friendly and helpful. Great views of San Francisco, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate bridge as well as windsurfers, kitesurfers.

had a great time! Unlike other packaged things, this one puts you right on the deck of the catamaran, to take it all in. It was wet, wild, & a little choppy-we loved it.

There were seven in our group, two teenagers, two 20 somethings and three 40 somethings. We all enjoyed the trip. The crew was wonderful and the other guests were so sweet. It was a real treat for our family from Virginia Beach, we got lots of great pictures! I totally recommend this outing!

This was the first time I've sailed on the bay and I really enjoyed it. I've been on a number of other boat cruises on the bay and often felt seasick and/or somewhat assaulted by the wind and waves. This was a really pleasant sail under the golden gate bridge and it wasn't until we were on the ocean side of the bridge that I noticed the waves. The crew was really cool and friendly and there were the right number of people on the boat so it wasn't too crowded. I think the value for the money is fantastic, and it's a great way to see the bay and golden gate bridge--especially with someone from out of town.

It was very enjoyable, but I was looking for a little more of a thrill. I would have liked a little more speed and excitement.

My husband and I (late 40's) took this cruise and had an absolute blast! You will have great views of the whole warf area, alcatraz and the golden gate bridge and can get some great photos. You can just sit in one spot inside and not move the whole trip or you can move all around the boat in and out (which we did). Be aware that it is a bit rough, so be sure to wear sneakers. Our cruise was quite chilly, but they have coats on board you can borrow. Don't expect to sit outside on the netting the whole time, as you will get wet, but there was certainly times you could sit out there. Once the netting got wet it was obviously wet to sit there anytime afterward - but we didn't mind. It was really a lot of fun. Our cruise only had 8 people on board which made it fun and easy to move around - a full boat might not have been quite as enjoyable. I would highly recommend the trip!

Having the extra jackets was by far the smartest investment for customers you guys had. I don't get sea sick, so boat was good size and had fun in the rough waters. Got some great pictures and enjoyed the indoor seating when we got to cold. Overall a pleasent experience.

We did everything you can do in SF and this was the highlight. All 4 of us agreed. The crew was polite and helpful and the cruise is exhilirating and fun (and cold). Can't think of anything to make it better than it was. I would highly recommend this to anyone goint to SF as a must-do thing.

We were 8 adults (ages 40-70) and 3 kids (10-13). My husband and I have done this before and decided to take the family. Everyone LOVED it-how can you not, sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge. It was chilly but we were bundled up and they even had extra jackets. The kids had a blast. It's really a fun time and VERY reasonable priced. We would highly recommend it! Great for locals and tourists!
