It's great to be able to get out on the bay without owning a boat.

Just Do It and Come Prepared for Changing Weather

Our cruise started out with sunny blue skies/ windy weather and ended an hour and a half later with fog and cooler temperatures. Even so, the views were incredible before that fog rolled in. Bring your own warm, hooded jacket and gloves just in case the weather changes.

The cruise around the Bay was beautifully choreographed, just wonderful to see the city from another perspective.

My husband and I were looking to spend some time on the bay but the dinner cruises were too much money. We found the adventure cat and read other reviews, we decided to try it ourselves. We purchased the tickets over the phone with no hassles at all. We didn't even get lost when going to find the dock. We loaded and left the dock at 6:00. We stayed outside on the front of the boat the entire time. It was beautiful to just look at the scenery. For those that did not want to be outside they could get the view from inside the boat. If you are concerned with the weather I would say wear pants and a jacket; however, they do provide heavy duty jackets for individuals that did not bring one. This was a great experience and we have already said that we will do it again. I got the most amazing sunset pictures ever!

The scenery was beautiful. Don't forget your camera. I was afraid it would seem too crowded, but it wasn't bad even with 40+ people. Crew was very friendly and chill. I liked that they played some good music. And am so glad they didn't try to make it a tour and tell us anything informative. Even on a "warm" SF day it was still chilly on the ocean so dress warmly, but if you're lucky you can borrow one of their crew jackets. I did survive with just sandals, a short silk dress, and a trench coat. Consider getting a nice big yummy crepe beforehand from the pier (there's a crepe place just a few shops after the mini-donut place). It was a great way to start the sail and even with the light appetizers you might be starving by the end of the trip. My friend was. I might do this sail again the next time I'm back in SF. That's how enjoyable it was.

Good cruise would get fab views if good weather

Unfortunately the weather was foggy on the day of our cruise so we didn't get the great views we hoped for but on a good day you would get brilliant views and pictures of the bay, Alcatraz and the bridge. Staff friendly and helpful. You need to be quick to get a chance at the nibbles but no problem getting your inclusive drinks.

Best boat ride in the SF bay!

The ride on the AdventureCat was awesome! You could see the jealousy on the faces of the passengers on those enormous Gold/Blue/White/Red Fleets. Our catamaran was so much more fun - plus there's a bar on the boat! Woo-hoo! Next time my family comes to visit, I'm taking them on this tour and so should you.

While we enjoyed our trip with around 30 other travellers we saw the other boats packing the folks in like they were fleeing Haiti.

Great Experience and Great Views!

My boyfriend and I took a long-planned vacation to San Francisco recently but, unfortunately, didn't have the budget we expected to have. This was our one splurge and it was worth it! The views were spectacular and the boat ride was a unique experience for us. We're from Minnesota and grew up on boats. But neither of us has ever been on a catamaran. We sat up front on a special net that allowed us to see the water below! It felt like an adventure -- a little bit scary but a lot of fun. We kind of kept to ourselves but the rest of the passengers sat in the cabin talking and getting to know each other. I think they had a few drinks too! The captain was friendly and made the experience very positive for all of us.

Great Cruise

It was great to not have the noise and smell of a diesel engine. The sails were used exclusively, except around the dock. Couldn't see the sunset through the fog, but that's San Francisco in the summer!
