Adventure Cat Sailing Charters

First of all, It is diffrent than the other cruise. This boat is powered by the sails. I have done this twice and will do it agin.

From the moment we stepped onto the Adventure Cat, to the time we reached the docks on return, it was an incredible experience! The crew went out of their way to make the sail a memorable time. The views of the bay, Alcatraz, and the bridge were just amazing! Words can't describe how great our experience was! It was a beautiful day and I highly recommend sailing with the Adventure Cat! Advice to future sailors: Be sure to bring a coat, it does get chilly out on the water. Be brave and go out on the webbing, it's awesome. The views from the cabin are just as beautiful as on the deck. Book a sail with the Adventure Cat, you won't be disappointed!

It was a great activity! My boyfriend and I had a great time and really enjoyed the view and relaxing on the ship. The snacks and drinks were great and it was really fun.

We got there a little early and while we waited, we got to watch the sea lions right next to the gate and saw how crowded the other tour boats were. The ride on the catamaran seemed so quiet and smooth compared to the other boats. Maybe because we went on a weekday, but our boat only had a total of 7 guests, including us. We would recommended it to anyone else visiting. Definitely enjoyable and memorable.

About the Tour: I live in San Francisco and have been out on the bay twice. Once to Alcatraz and the second time, on the Adventure Cat. We got to see all three bridges, all three islands (Alcatraz, Treasure and Angel) and a close up view of Belevedere near Tiburon and Sausalito. The most amazing view was the Golden Gate Bridge. The vantage point looking up at the bottom of the bridge, from directly underneath it, outlined against the sky is one I will never forget as it was the first time I have ever seen anything like it. It was a very special experience. About the Boat: It will be FREEZING. We went for a sunset cruise but I strongly recommend that you be prepared with a heavy coat, gloves and a blanket no matter what time of day you go. The boat does lend coats to passengers for the duration of the ride but they were smelly. The food and wine for the Sunset Cruise is average. We couldn't even drink the cheap red wine fast enough to exceed out two free drink tickets. I would recommend going with beer. About the Crew: I really hope that everyone gets Haans as their Captain. He is just really charming as he totally personifies "the Skipper" ideal. The two crew mates were friendly and it was fun to watch them put up the sail.

The idea of a sunset cruise was very appealing to us. The weather, however, wasn't the best. I suppose in SF, this is often the case. It was very cold and windy, so it was miserable for most of the cruise. The crew was pleasant and helpful. The small spread of snacks was decent, and most of the drink selection was fine. However, the instant coffee was terrible and the red wine was awful. That said, if it had been a warmer, calmer day, which can never be guaranteed in SF, I would recommend the trip.

My boyfriend and I went on the sunset cruise for a liad back date. We are locals, and it was great to get out of the city on to the open water. The snacks & drinks held us over before our dinner resorvations at Scoma's on the warf. The crew of 2 was very professional and made us comfortable. It was pretty chilly out and they provided warm jackets so we could sit out on the front of the boat to get the full experience. We both had a great time, great city views, -- Highly recommended!!

Sailing on the Adventure Cat is really a wonderful way to be out on the water, especially if you don't mind being on a smallish boat, a little choppiness, and usually some strong winds. My wife gave this to me as a birthday present, knowing that I would enjoy it. I did -- it was way too short! We did the 3:00 sailing, which is a good time to go with the sun still up pretty high. I suspect the sunset sailings are quite a bit cooler as well as costing a lot more. If I could I would give this event 4.5 stars rather than 5 because it's a little expensive. Still, it's well worth the splurge even if you watch your expenses carefully the way we do.

The crew was fantastic - the catamaran was in good condition and clean. The entire experience was to be highly recommended.

I'd never been on a Catamaran and it was very very cool. We had a windy, choppy day and the boat just cuts through the waves - it's wild! The snacks were good, and the wine was tasty. If you're a local looking for a fun way to show off the bridge and the city views, this is a great option!!

The crew was helpful and fun. I have seen the Cat's sailing on the bay in the past but never had a chance to take a cruise. We went on the sunset cruise and had an incredible time. The bay looks so diferent from on the water. The price was great and I would highly recommend the trip to anyone.

The whole experience was superb. The staff was great as well. They supplied jackets for people that wanted them for the cool bay. Word to the wise...if you dont want to get wet stay off the front of the boat/netting. The views were great and the price was reasonable.

The trip was for a friend's birthday and we wanted to do something different. It was a lot of fun and everyone enjoyed themselves. Definitely take a warm jacket that is waterproof. Overall, we had a great time.
