Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?
Tickets should be purchased in advance, and tours often sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the day and time you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can only be purchased with a Visa or Mastercard.
If a tour is sold out, can I get on a waiting list?
We do not provide a waiting list. If a date is sold out, there is always a chance that we will add an additional tour. Please contact us by clicking the "Contact this seller" link to let us know what date you are interested in.
Is the tour appropriate for young children?
This tour is not recommended for young children. The story is involved and costumed characters jump out at various locations which could scare young children. We recommend this tour for children over 12.
What type of ticket should I buy for a young child?
We do not recommend this tour for young children and therefore do not offer a child rate for this tour. All guests on the tour must purchase a Standard ticket.
How much walking is involved?
The route is about a mile long. We walk at a very leisurely pace. There are benches along the way if you need to rest. Please alert the guide if you need to stop!
Can I book a group tour at a discount?
Yes! Groups of 10 or more are automatically discounted by the Zerve System. Please click the "Contact this seller" link if your group is larger than 100 people.
Is the tour wheelchair- and/or stroller-accessible?
This tour is not easily accessible for wheelchairs or strollers. The tour exits the graveyard down a steep flight of stairs. If you have difficulty with stairs, we do not recommend this tour.
What happens if it rains or snows?
The tours are held rain or shine. We will be outdoors for the entire tour. You should dress appropriately for the day's weather conditions. If there should be hurricane conditions or very extreme weather we will contact you, and the tour may be canceled.
May I bring my dog on the tour?
You may bring a dog on most of our tours, but we do not recommend you do so for this tour. The costumed characters may scare the dog.
Does this tour have anything to offer a native of the area?
Yes. Many locals have attended our tours and have been amazed at how many myths and legends they were not aware about, even in their own back yard!
Has anyone ever seen a ghost on your tour?
Yes! Many of our guests have experienced supernatural forces while on the tour. Psychics who have attended our tour have verified the presence of some of the spirits we describe.
Can I buy one of the lanterns used on the tour?
Yes. These lanterns are hand-crafted replicas of 17th century lanterns. They retail for $48, but you may purchase a used one from our tours for $40, tax included.
Is there a discount for AAA and senior citizens?
No. Since our Tales of Mother Crewe tour requires additional staffing, we are unable to offer discounts for this tour. You can get a AAA or Senior discount on our History Tour at 7:30pm or our Ghost & Legends Tour at 9pm on the same nights.
