We highly recommend you purchase tickets in advance, as our annual St. Patrick's Day Sail sells out quickly! You can purchase your tickets with a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.

No, Wild Hearts does not keep a waiting list for our sails. Sails often sell out and typically well in advance, so please make sure to purchase your tickets far in advance.

We usually go out rain or shine. Remember that when it’s raining near you, it may not be raining where we are! In the case of severe weather (including thunder or lightning), the sail would have to be canceled, and you would be able to reschedule to another time or receive credit for a future trip. If it’s just a light sprinkle, we’ll still go out, and you can either find cover in our spacious covered main cabin, or enjoy the adventure out on the deck.

We love children, but unfortunately, for safety reasons children under 5 years of age are not permitted to attend our adventure sail. Children between the ages of 5 and 11 have a reduced price ticket, and are required to wear life jackets at all times during the sail. We hope you'll be able to make other arrangements for your children under 5 and join us for a beautiful sail!

We do love pets, but pets of any kind are unfortunately not allowed on the boat.

Our 53' catamaran has a broad 30' beam which results in a wonderfully comfortable ride. Guests are also welcome to relax in our covered cabin which is a great way to take a break from the sun and wind. Pregnant women may wish to consult their physician for advice before participating in snorkeling, but should have no problem participating in the sail.

No, you will board and disembark straight from the dock to the deck of the Wild Hearts. The boat is also fully equipped with life jackets. Children ages 12 and under must wear a life jacket at all times while on the boat. While snorkeling, you will be asked to wear a buoyancy compensator that will help you stay afloat.

While you do not need to sign a manifest at the beginning of the sail, you must submit a complete list of all attendee names at the time of purchase so that we can submit a guest list to the Coast Guard prior to the trip.

We will usually sail through Fort Lauderdale's Intracoastal Waterways and out to the Atlantic Ocean. Each sail's route differs because we go wherever the wind takes us! There are no set destination points, but we assure that you will have a great time no matter what the route.

No, we'll be happy to provide some instruction and guidance to anyone who'd like to try the snorkel experience. Prospective snorkelers should have basic swimming skills. We may ask parents to accompany children under 12 years of age in the water.

Before the snorkeling portion of the trip, the crew will give you snorkeling instructions, and then survey while you are in the water. We usually snorkel in shallow water (between 8-10 feet) between 1 and 1.5 miles off shore so the snorkeling conditions are very safe.

We have enough flippers, snorkels, masks, and buoyancy compensators on board for each and every passenger, and carry a variety of sizes. Everyone is required to wear the buoyancy compensator during the snorkeling portion of the sail. Feel free to bring your own snorkeling equipment if you’d like, or just go swimming instead – it’s entirely up to you.

The length of snorkeling will be dependent upon what you want! If all the guests on board would like to snorkel, snorkeling can last up to 45 minutes. If there are some who do not want to snorkel, we will shorten the snorkeling time so that everyone is accommodated.

Many guests choose not to snorkel and prefer to lounge on the deck or nets of the catamaran basking in the sun or socializing in the covered cabin. If there are many guests that do not wish to snorkel, we will cut the snorkeling portion of the trip short so that you can enjoy more time adventure sailing.

No, there is no age limit for snorkeling. However, we may ask parents to accompany children under 12 in the water if they would like to participate in the snorkeling portion of the trip.

Our crew is experienced and will survey our guests while you are in the water snorkeling. We will snorkel in safe, shallow waters, so there will most likely never be any potential threat, but we are always on guard just in case!

Unfortunately personal foods and beverages are prohibited on board. There will be complimentary beverages on board and you can purchase light snacks like chips, crackers, or pretzels on board for $1 per bag. Complimentary beverages include beer, wine, soda, mixed drinks, and water.

Our Florida sails enjoy complimentary beer, wine, soda, mixed drinks, and water. Snacks like chips, crackers, or pretzels are available for purchase on board for $1 apiece.

Yes, if you like to consume any alcohol on the boat, you must be 21 and have a government-issued ID with you and available to the crew upon request.

Yes! We have hats, t-shirts, beer coolies, and more available for purchase on board. Prices range from $10-35, so please bring extra cash if you’d like to take a souvenir home with you!

Many guests bring $15-20 with them to cover incidental costs of refreshments and souvenirs.

If you enjoyed your sail, tips for your hard working crew are greatly appreciated.

Feel free to wear whatever you’d like to the sail. We kindly request that you do not wear black soled shoes or high heels on board – soft soled shoes or barefoot would be preferred. You are welcome to wear a bathing suit to attend the sail.

Wild Hearts is a Gold Coast 53' long catamaran, that is 30' wide, with a 72' tall mast and over 1000 square feet of sail. She was designed for comfortable open ocean sailing at double digit speeds and was built in St. Croix. In addition to the expansive deck, her pristine covered cabin provides a great place to relax in the shade.

How far we go out is dependent upon the wind and the particular route of that day's sail. We usually snorkel about 1 to 1.5 miles off shore in shallow waters, and then venture out into the Atlantic Ocean.

No. The Wild Hearts boat is a catamaran with two hulls and is much more stable than a normal sailboat. The catamaran is too heavy to ever tip over, so don’t worry about falling in!

Yes! There is plenty of room on board to store your belongings. Please try to avoid bringing large luggage items and bring only what is necessary with you if possible.

Unfortunately the boat is not wheelchair accessible. If you have limited mobility and can leave your wheelchair behind and be helped on to the boat, you are more than welcome to attend. Remember that the restrooms on board or not handicapped accessible so you will need assistance to visit the restroom. Please do keep in mind as well that the sail is an adventure sail and can get a little bit rough, so it may not be comfortable for you if you are handicapped. Yes, there are two restrooms on board; one for men and one for women. Each restroom is down below the main deck and is accessible by around 5 steps on a ladder.

Yes – there is a fresh water shower nozzle available for your use to rinse off after snorkeling or just a dip in the water.

Yes. The inside main cabin can seat up to 42 people comfortably, and there is extra seating on the upper decks or on the front of the boat. The main cabin boasts 4 separate seating stations with tables. All seating is first come, first served, so please arrive early if you want a particular spot!

Yes! We have enough life jackets on board for every single one of our passengers. Children between the ages of 5 and 12 are required to wear a life jacket during the sail, but for adults life jackets are optional. Please do not bring your own life jackets, as ours are specially US Coast Guard certified commercial jackets.

No, smoking is not allowed on board.

Our catamaran is a comfortable, stable vessel with a lot of space. Although this trip is an adventure sail and might be rough at times, you shouldn’t have a problem unless you are particularly prone to motion sickness. In that case, we recommend you consult a doctor before attending and take preventative measures.

Yes, we will play music on board. The music will be either a radio station or a mix compiled on an Ipod, and we do take requests! Feel free to bring your own Ipod if you’d like to request one of your own songs to be played.
