*Weekending 9/5- This week brought us many interesting bird sightings including Snowy Egrets, Brown Pelicans, Terns, Commorants, Gannets, Oyster Catchers, Cattle Egrets, Great Egrets, Great Blue Herons, and Night Herons, and we were happy to see our resident Bald Eagle back in the canal as well as a juvenile Bald Eagle perched beside him. Dolphins, Dolphins, Dolphins…they were everywhere and hundreds at a time. Our dolphins were very active this week, we were witness to lots of fluke slapping, breaching, schooling fish, mating (and plenty of it), aggressive play between the adult males. We saw a large Sunfish offshore in the Atlantic as well as Turtles, Leatherback and Loggerhead. A HUMPBACK WHALE accompanied by playful dolphins.
