Is this a good general sightseeing tour?
Although we do tour all around the Historic Annapolis District, this is mostly a real estate tour. You discover interesting facts about the homes and neighborhoods that will help guide your purchase decisions, or just familiarize you with the architecture and rich past of the area.
Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?
Tickets must be purchased in advance, and tours often sell out quickly. To maximize your chances of getting the day and time you prefer, please book well in advance. Tickets can only be purchased using Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
Will we have time to stop at any of the homes?
The one-hour tour is just enough time to give riders a thorough overview of homes for sale in the Annapolis Historic District. Although there will not be enough time to stop at any of the homes, if you like you can schedule an appointment with Ellis to show you any of the homes you see.
What else will the tour cover?
As time permits, Ellis will share with you the subtleties of the different streets and neighborhoods, and some of the amenities of each area. There is just enough time to see each home, so neighborhood descriptions are limited to brief descriptions.
Where does the tour end?
The tour ends in the same place that it begins, near Main and Dock Streets.
Can I take pictures or video while I am on the trolley tour?
Yes. We suggest you turn off the flash; it bounces off the windows.
What does "historic" mean?
A "Historic" home is generally defined as homes built from the mid-1600's to the early 1900's. Some homes that are newer and located in the Historic District of Annapolis may still be presented on the tour - the variety of architectural styles is one of the most exciting aspects of choosing to live in Annapolis.
How many seats does the trolley have?
The trolley has 23 seats.
What about inclement weather?
The Historic Annapolis Real Estate Trolley Tour is conducted in a modern, yet historic looking, trolley which is air-conditioned and heated, so the tour is comfortable rain or shine, any time of year.

Yes, the tour list is a complete list of all homes for sale based on the Multiple Listing System (MLS) and is updated daily. All homes for sale with brokerages have listings in the MLS are on the tour.
How will we know which home is which?
Your tour is guided by Realtor and certified historic home specialist, Ellis Richman. Each rider will receive a list of the homes we will be seeing, including a thorough description of each home and pictures. Feel free to make notes about each home as you ride by.

Do I have to work with Ellis Richman as my Realtor?
No. This is an informational tour designed to show you the real estate market in Historic Annapolis in one hour. If you would like, you can speak with Ellis about consulting with him to purchase or sell a home.
What if I have to disembark while I am on the tour?
You are able to leave the tour bus if you should need to for any reason. Just let your tour guide know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Are there accommodations for wheelchairs on the tour?
The trolley is not lift equipped; we can store a wheelchair during the tour.
Are there bathrooms available on the tour?
No, but public restrooms are nearby.
Are food or drinks served?
No, but you may bring food and drinks on the trolley.
Are there seat belts?

What price ranges are the homes for sale?
Generally, the homes for sale in Historic Annapolis range in price from around $400,000 up to several million dollars depending on the location, size, condition, and amenities of the home.
Can a tour be rescheduled for another day?
Unfortunately, due to the demand for the tour, it is not possible to reschedule your tickets.
Are there any group discounts available?

Yes, but please be respectful of the tour participants and do not discuss real estate or solicit anyone on the tour.
Why did I not see every single home for sale on the tour?
Some homes may not be shown due to lack of time. Some homes that are shown as available in the Multiple Listing System may already be under contract and the agent has not yet input the contract to the MLS system.
