If you're looking for a challenging and rewarding fishing experience, then this is the trip for you!
Come aboard the Island Current Fleet and experience New York City in a new and exciting way while fishing for Blackfish!
- Blackfish, otherwise known as “tautog”, abound in the Long Island Sound. They are known for their thick lips used to feed upon shellfish that in turn give them a tough meaty flesh, perfect for soups and stews. Blackfish are great for grilling or baking, and range from 3 to 25 lbs in weight!
- Blackfish, quick and feisty, are known as bait stealers, which makes them very challenging fish to catch. On this full day trip you will learn special techniques from our first class crew to help you beat and master the notorious speed of the blackfish.
Our crew will assist you in catching the fish, teach you new fishing techniques, and facilitate good times all around.
Rods, reels, bait and tackle are included in the ticket price.
What Is Not Included?
Food and beverages are not included in the price of a ticket. Please feel free to bring your own food and beverages in a plastic cooler no larger than 48 quarts.
