Activity Description
Sportfishing in Ft. Lauderdale is my best trip for catching big game fish. The Fort Lauderdale reefs and shipwrecks are teeming with some of the most sought after gamefish in the world. On our this sport fishing trip, we will go fishing for sailfish, bull dolphin, tuna, wahoo, grouper, cobia, amberjacks and more.
In Fort Lauderdale our fishing grounds are close, only 1 mile offshore. On this trip, we only take a few passengers. Usually the trip is made up of 3 or 4 persons, but never more than 6 so it is very 1 on 1 with the crew.
Our boat is a 45' Ray Davis sportfish charter boat. Our boat is fully equipped with:
- Air conditioned cabin for those warm Florida days
- Huge fishing cockpit so there is a lot of room to fish
- 3 cockpit fighting chairs
- Color Fish Finder
- Flybridge seating - ride upstairs with the captain
- Two 100 gallon live bait wells-lots of live baits
- Clean Restroom
We start off the trip with a 10 minute ride through the intercoastal waterway, where you'll see some of Fort Lauderdale's multi-million dollar homes. After that we'll spend a few minutes catching some live baits. This gets everyone familiar with using the equipment. Then it's big game fishing time!
On this trip, we will have time to try several types of fishing. Depending on the day we will go trolling, kite fishing, live baiting and bottom wreck fishing - whatever it takes to catch fish.
All licenses, bait and tackle, rods and reels included in price. Just bring your own food and drinks.
What Is Not Included?
Everything on this trips is included, except for food, drink, and a tip for the mate. You must bring your own food and drinks along but we provide coolers with ice for you. There is a 7-11 store located next door to the boat. I also reccomend that you bring sunglasses(polarized if you have them). Also a hat and sunscreen. Oh yeah, and bring a camera!
