Hush Tours, Inc. has been in operation since June 2002. We have been inviting our guests to join us in celebration of New York City as the birthplace of Hip Hop culture! We have been featured on MTV, VH1, BET, The Fuse Network, Fox 5, Eyewitness News, the WB along with a lead story in the New York Times Arts & Leisure as well as numerous other national and international press outlets.

Our vision is to preserve the roots of hip hop culture while offering our guests an opportunity to revisit present day history. This fact finding tour allows visitors to meet, greet and be guided by hip hop legends like Kurtis Blow, Grandmaster Caz, Dana Dane, Raheim, Mikey D, Reggie Reg and an assortment of others. Customers are taught the true essence of hip hop culture in an educational and entertaining format combing all three factors in an innovative tour..

Hush Tours is an active member of NYC & Company, The Bronx Tourism Council and the East Harlem Tourism Board.

Activity Description
Take a guided tour through midtown Manhattan and Queens with a view inside the beginning of the second decade of hip hop pinpointing when the music business began to accept it as a genuine art form, not just a fad. Covering early artists as well as today’s top performers and producers such as Mc Shan, Roxanne Shante, Nas, Mobb Deep, Salt & Pepa, Tribe Called Quest, RunDMc, LL Cool J, the Lost Boys and 50 Cent. Each free-styling guide will also shed light onto the current hip-happenings of the industry. You get four hours to learn about everything you can about today and yesterday.

Our route allows you to see landmarks such as the Silver Cup Studios, a spectacular view of the Manhattan Skyline while crossing the bridge, 5 Pointz, Murals by Today' s gic Johnson Studios, Jamaica Ave. shopping center, neighborhoods of today’s popular artists, numerous video, movie and TV show locations.  Stops include but are not lilmited:

  • South Side Jamaica
Your guide(s) will entertain/educate you. We'll visit the neighborhoods, schools and street corners depicted in the lyrics giving you a broader understanding of referrals made in songs and locations used in videos.

What Is Not Included?
Lunch is not included. A snack stop is made during the tour. Souvenirs are not included in the price of the tour. Our participants have the opportunity to purchase exclusive CDs, T-Shirts, and more to remind them of their trip. There will also be opportunities to get autographs from the rap legends leading your tour. Please bring cash if you might want to purchase souvenirs.
