Activity Description
Our tour begins in scenic Marblehead, known as the “Yachting Capital of America.” The town offers a delightful combination of historical sites and attractive scenery.

This is a private tour, consisting of only you and your party. One ticket admits a group of 1-6 guests. The tour lasts either 4 or 6 hours (depending on the type of ticket you buy), including travel time from and back to your hotel/residence in downtown Boston.

Both the 4 & 6 hour tour versions include a stop for lunch. The 4-hour Regular tour version allows for a tour of ONE of the following sites, whereas the 6-hour Extended tour version allows for a tour of TWO of the following sites:

  • Peabody Essex Museum: Asian export art collection from overseas luxury trading in the early days of the colonies.
  • Maritime Tour: Visit the house and wharf of millionaire Elias Hasket Derby whose ship the Grand Turk, pioneered trade with Canton in 1786.
  • The House of the Seven Gables: Salem is the birthplace of author Nathaniel Hawthorne who wrote The Scarlet Letter and The House of the Seven Gables. We can tour the house that was the inspiration for the latter novel.
  • Salem Witch Museum: We view a re-enactment of The Witch Trials of 1692, which took place in the area of Salem.
  • Mansion of Jeremiah Lee, affluent merchant, ship owner, and Patriot of the American Revolution (1768). (Tour available in SUMMER only)
During all the tours, we view the sheltered harbor and the Lighthouse and enjoy a panoramic view of the Atlantic shoreline and the tower of Abbott Hall.

What Is Not Included?
Lunch, which you can purchase at one of the tour stops, is not included in the price of the tour. We recommend you bring approximately $8-16.

Entrance to sites that have their own entry fees is not included in the price of the tour. Certain sites cost approximately $5-$13 per person to view the inside, so please bring extra cash (approximately $20).
