Atwater Village was named for its proximity to the Los Angeles River, where anglers will find Nile tilapia, channel catfish, green sunfish and much more, and was the model for Disneyland’s Buena Vista Street. Walt Disney himself often ate at the Tam O’Shanter Inn, and you can still stop by for a bit of historic dining – it’s one of Los Angeles County’s oldest restaurants!
