WHAT OTHER NYC TOUR IS HOSTED BY INDIVIDUALS THAT WERE DIRECTLY INVOLVED WITH THE THEME OF THE HISTORIAL TOUR ITSELF? NONE! THIS TOUR IS A MUST FOR ANY REAL HIP HOP FAN.

We really enjoyed this tour! It gave an engaging understanding to what hiphop really is, and stands for. It's roots. And also what hiphop has meant in the city of New York. It's cultural value to more than one generation. The difference between what it was back in the 70's and 80's, and what is is today. The sites we got to visit were all interesting, strong, and meaningful, and our guides for the day really contributed with their passion and knowledge. We do indeed recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in knowing more about the black community in New York, and the rest of the US, for the last 30-40 years. And to anyone who wants get inspired by learning how much music and culture can do for people!

Where do I begin - FANTASTIC - AMAZING - WOW... This is my third time on a Hush tour. Each time I visit New York from England, Hush has never failed to give a top quality UNIQUE tour. My hat goes off to Debra - who made this tour so special for me on my 40th birthday. She didn't want to let me down, and although there were only 2 of us on the tour, she still went ahead - with JDL (Cold Crush), and DJ Lady D - showing us real Hip Hop in Queens. We were just hanging out for the day. It was so cool. JDL was a great host - still full of energy after just finishing an earlier tour - set straight off onto my tour. There were so many hi-lights - but the top of the list is 5-pointz (it's got to be seen to be believed) and Hollis Famous Burgers / Run DMC museum (shout out to Orville for the great hospitality). There are so many different tours to choose from - if you've got the time, check out them all! But in summary - if you love hip hop - you will love Hush.

At first we were told that the bus trip was cancelled, but then the legendary J.D.L of the Cold Crush Brothers showed up in person and offered a walking tour, just the three of us. For somebody that already knows a bit about the early days of hip hop culture, this was a much better deal. We got the opportunity to talk one on one with a Hip Hop legend, and ask him all the qestions that we always wondered about. As a fan it was a great experience to spend half a day with one of the pioneers of the game. And the Graffiti in queens was crazy! This was an experience we will cherish for the rest of our lives. It was a great tour. The guide was very enthusiast. It was great to listen to him! He made the tour very original and very easygoing. We learnt alot and had a lot of fun! I truly recommmend this great tour through the world of Hip Hop! A big thanks to him!

We've seen some realy cool spots, like the 5pointz covered with Grafs all over. The famous hollis burger, the best Soulfood I've ever had - and a Hip-Hop museum too. One of the first female MC's was there! The best part was the guide we had, a real ledgend, JDL from the cold crush brothers. He's a guide who realy knows how Hip-Hop came across and how important the 5 elements are (yes Beatboxing is an element too). And we were riding in a limo!!!!!!!!! If you love Hip Hop then you will love this tour, if you don't like Hip Hop you will still love this tour! I don't want to spoil the tour so I will just thank the legendary JDL from the Cold Crush Crew for being an amazing host and entertainer. This was based on the 2nd generation of Hip Hop and they do take you to places that relate to the new generation also. My favorite place on this tour was the lunch stop over...just do this tour and you will know what i am saying. Thank you for such an unforgettable day!

The tour was supposed to last 4 hours. It lasted 3. It was supposed to be music on board the bus, but neither the dvd or the cd-player worked. The guide brought along three friends and they all seemed more interested in each other than in guiding the group. Much of the time it was focus on games for iPhone. The guide himself was charming and just seemed to be a bit tired that day, but we should really had som refunds for the bus not working properly and the tour being an hour shorter than announced.

We did all the things we were told before.
