| We were looking to do something different in NY and this certainly ticked the box. This is a great tour around Harlem and fantastic insight into the origins of Hip Hop music, provided by Reggie Reg from the legendary Crash Crew. If anything, the time went too quick. Very, very enjoyable. G Young (UK) | ||||||

| CWe enjoyed our host, Reggie Reg, who was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Had trouble hearing what he was saying due to street noise. But aside from the graffitti wall of fame (really unique), we did not see much that was specific to hip hop culture or history. Also some stops listed on the web site -- hip hop clubs, oldest record store in Harlem -- were not visited and the Apollo stop was just a brief step into the lobby. The MSNY stop at the beginning, especially the video, had nothing to do with the tour, really. Better would have been a stop to see a video with some of the hip hop performers mentioned by our host. | ||||||

| I'm 19 from Scotland, and me and ma bro(13) persuaded my mum to go on the tour with Reggie Reg from the Crash crew (cool as ice!!) Was a little aprehencious (dunno bout the spelling?!) bout the tour when i found out it was just us three cause other people got lost, plus me and ma bro are more into new skool rap. But learning all about hip hop's origins with an absolute legend was not only informative but exciting, felt like i was walking during the era that Reggie Reg covers. We walked through Harlem and learned all about it's history for 2 hours and it just flew in. If you want to learn bout 50 cent or Jay Z...go on the net! For a real live feel for hip hop, check out the tour!!! Jamie from (near) Edinburgh, Scotland. | ||||||

| Being from the Canadian Prairies I wanted to see some Hip Hop landmarks while visiting NYC but I was not sure how to go about it. As I surfed the net I came across Hush Tours and immediately booked a Hip Hop Tour. The tour could not have been better. The 4 hour tour flew by as we ventured through areas of Manhattan, Harlem and the Bronx checking out various culturally important sites. Our "Hip Hop Legends Tour" included the delightful and modest Reggie Reg from the legendary Crash Crew. Other legends came along for the ride as well. Grandmaster Mele Mel from Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five and Easy Mo Bee were also on the bus. We also has the president of the Sedgwick & Cedar clothing line in our attendance. Reggie Reg was a fantastic host and described the history and culture of Hip Hop well. My wife, who doesn't know as much as I do about Hip Hop, found the tour to be very informative. I also learned knew details that I did not know about before. Mele Mel was hilarious on the tour and always had something to say. The bus was treated to a mini-concert as Mele Mel played emcee and performed "The Message" to us. Amazing! I highly recommend this tour because this is the best chance to meet some real Hip Hop artists and to understand the whole Hip Hop culture and it's history in NYC. This tour is equally entertaining for Hip Hop heads and people who would like to learn about Hip Hop. I would go again if I visited New York City just to see who I might get a chance to meet. | One of the friendliest and enjoyable tours I've been on. An informative and entertaining trip. Got to meet some of the legends of early hip-hop who gave a unique personalised view of the roots of hip hop. Would highly recommend this trip to everyone!! | ||||||

| This tour not only provides a good background on the history of hip hop, but also gives you a view of New York City beyond the usual paths taken in Manhattan. Grandmaster Caz was our guide, he's funny and obviously knows what he's talking about. Considering what an uninformative taxi ride would cost for the miles we were taken, what we got to see and experience, this tour is WELL worth the value! | ||||||

| We are a couple from Austria and did the tour as part of our ten days New York stay. Grandmaster Caz really made an effort to convey what hip hop was about in the early days. So if you want to get an idea of the locations and people that created the hip hop culture in new york in the late 70 s this is probably he best tour you can get. You also get to see some parts of the city most other tours would not get you to. (Spanish Harlem, Bronx, the Lennox / 125th corner in harlem,...) We considered it an important part of the cities culture one should not miss. After all you cant ask Chagal what his paintings meant in the Museum of modern Art, but you can ask Grandmaster Caz. So get there and do so! Very entertaining and informative! | ||||||

A BIG CHEAT
|

| This activity was a big cheat. First, we stopped in a "graffiti mural" at East Harlem, which wasn't as good as the Long Island City one. Second stop was to make some basketball shots at Harlem, too. But the best was after, Grandmaster Caz said: "Let's go to the Bronx", and the Bronx which we saw was the Yankee Stadium title from the bridge, and then, back to Manhattan. I was stupefact, but nobody said nothing. The best thing too was we took a hat and chains around the neck by the staff, but at the end, we must return to them... (The hat was no Kangol, and the chains can be found at Chinatown...) The paradox is that the other excursion with Hush Tours was in the other extreme, was very dope and interesting. | ||||||

A Real Tour of the Roots of Hip-Hop

| Being a fan of Hip-Hop from the early 80s to todays different sound this tour was a true experience of Hip-Hop culture which defined and still defines New York City. Travelling to the birthplace of Hip-Hop The Bronx as well as Harlem our tour guide 'Reggie Reg' gave all the info anyone who was unaware of what 'Hip-Hop culture' was all about. Knowing my Hip-Hop history it was great to visit The Graffiti Hall of Fame, Rucker Park and other places of Hip-Hop relevence which you wouldn't normally find on that New York tourist map!. Whether you are a Hip-Hop historian or a novice Hush tours can deliver the info and experience like no other. Massive shout out to Reggie Reg of The Crash Crew , Madness and of course Debra. | I've been all over the world and this was one of the most fun things I have participated in. Great guides, very informative, fun and a look inside a world that shows diversity makes us all better as a whole. I, and my nieces, had a great time and appreciate the professionalism and talent of the persons involved. I would recommend this activity to anyone, it was fun! | ||||||

| hip-hop 101 on the bus, passing landmarks and stopping off to see graffiti hall of fame, break dancing and other important spots. the stop in harlem is especially good (soul food restaurant, too). bronx was only a brief drive-thru, but i guess it's important to at least go there. what makes this tour good is that it's led by an early hip-hop artist, in this case grandmaster caz, who was very entertaining. | ||||||
