Best Tour Ever!!!

All I can say is this was the best tour I have been on!!! Our guide was Grandmaster Caz....what more do I have to say??!!! Caz was cool, down to earth, entertaining and informative. Even with the hectic traffic and detours due to the Mets/Yank game we still enjoyed ourselves completely. Also helping guide was Madness....he was bananas!!! Loved every bit of it. Lunch set it off too...delicious!! This was a wonderful way to bring our vacation to an end!! Much Luv, Your Girls from Cali

I enjoy hip hop and learning about the roots of hip hop. This tour did provide information about the key players and the means in which hip hop evolved, but I found it to be a little unorganized and a means to promote Grandmaster Caz's comeback.

The tour was really well organised and even not being an expert in Hip Hop it gave a good insight on the start of it and its history. In addition it was fantastic to get some impression on the variety of Harlem. We really recommend the tour!

A GREAT EXPERIENCE

This excursion was surprising, and very dope, for me. First, because I can see with my own eyes the Queensbridge projects, original place of rap artists like Nas, Mobb Deep, or Cormega. I could see too Jamaica and South Jamaica, borough of LL Cool J or Onyx, and Hollis, borough of Run DMC. In addition, I was the mural dedicated to Jam Master Jay in Queens. The surprise was too that the driver was: Mickey D, former component of the group Main Source in their second album: "F*** what you think", he remplaced to Large Professor in this album, he put songs very good in the car. The copilot was a man called Mark, or Marcus, I don't know the last name, and he knew many things unknown to the great audience of hip hop. With great gratefulness, Mario Berón Bruna

I had a fantastic time. Grand Master Caz was entertaining and gave us a great history lesson in the hip hop culture. We got to experience so many great neighborhoods while learning about hip hop. I enjoyed myself and would recommend this tour to all of my friends.

Excellent experience

I took my brother on this tour because we are both advocates of the hip-hop culture, and have enjoyed the majority of hip-hop music for many years. Grandmaster Caz was a great guide with an extensive knowledge of the culture's history. I had a really good time on the tour, and learned a lot about the inaugural generation of hip-hop that I had no idea lasted for as long as it did. The tour sustained an educational theme for hours about the growth of the culture in the 70's and before the mainstream appeal of rap music was relevant. I would recommend this tour to anyone that has a fascination with the roots of the culture beyond the rap music itself.

Very highly recommended for anybody that wants to know what Hiphop is really about. Reprsenting all the elements of Hiphop! Mad respect to the Pioneers and giving the time to represent what Queens Bridge/Hollis Queens has contributed to Hiphop. 5Pointz is an out of this world experience. When I go back to the NYC, I definitely need to hit up the Bronx tour!

Super Duty Tough Tour.

I strongly recommend people attend the Hip Hop tour whether they are Hip Hop enthusiasts like myself or just tourists to New York who want to experience something off the beaten path. Meeting a legend like Grandmaster Caz of the mighty Cold Crush Four was my highlight as well as experiencing the sights and sounds of Uptown Harlem and the BX. The Soul Food lunch was also delicious! Next time I visit NYC I am sure I will book on the Queens tour to experience some more of the hip hop sights in the other boroughs and hopefully get to meet Mikey D of the LA Posse. the only thing better about learning hip hop history is being taken on a tour of the people who created it.

Four Hours Flew By!
Sat, Feb 17, 07   11:00 AM dracisk Female 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
My friend wanted to book this tour, and I was interested but worried that 4 hours would be too long. I was wrong -- the 4 hours flew by! Our tour guide was Reggie Reg from the Crash Crew, and he was very entertaining and knowledgable. I also loved the interactive nature of the tour. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone remotely interested in hip-hop!

Grandmaster Caz - A Legend
Sat, Feb 3, 07   11:00 AM aearley Male 20-29 International Tourist(s) Group of Friends
Honestly - even if you do not have a mild interest in Hip Hop and are just visiting New York then you NEED to spend 4 hours of your trip on this tour - the history and cultural insight that you learn are what goes towards making New York the place that it is today. Forgot the modern day stereotypes, the tour which was led by Grandmaster Caz (to describe him as knowledgeable is a vast understatement, as he was there at the beginning of hip hop and so I guess he is the knowledge - the spark that created the fire back in the 1970s) tours Harlem, the Bronx and visits key locations that have constituted towards the hip hop "movement". Caz was charismatic and insightful and above all else enthusiastic to be sharing his experience with the group. You even get to sample some delightful Soul Food at lunch (I recommend the Jerk Chicken - spicy). On the coach, Caz's narrative is broken up with samples of groundbreaking records of the early era and various video clips - including one of the man himself with a massive afro and an over the top stage outfit - hilarious! ;-) There is so much more to it and overall I was just privledged to have been a part of the tour. Just make sure you listen carefully to where you can pick up some Sedgewick & Cedar clothing that Caz is now a part of. Book up this tour now!

Even if you think you know everything there is to know about HipHop, you'll still learn from these guys. We were lucky enough to have Grandmaster Caz and Reggie Reg as our guides. We had such a good day stopping off at famous landmarks, learning all you need to know about the roots of Hip Hop and visiting Harlem and the Bronx. Live entertainment too .....the lot in four hours!!!

Everything I Expected and more...........

The tour was an authentic one with wonderful tour guides (what's up Caz and Reg!!) that kept the tour exciting and fun. I got to see parts of NY that I otherwise would not have gone to, and got to learn the history and stories behind where it all started. The four hours that the tour lasted were just not enough. Nobody wanted it to end. I highly recommend this tour to anyone that loves hip hop, wants to learn about hip hop, or anybody that just wants to have a good time!
