Hip Hop Roots

I would highly recommend this tour for any serious hip hop head who respects the thought of learning the history/roots of something you love. Grandmaster Caz was great and koo to kick it with. He's very knowledgeable. Listen to his stories, take it all in, and just flow with the tour. You're visiting the Jerusalem of Hip Hop. To visit these actual spots after a lifetime of living/loving hip hop is amazing. Go to the tour you'll love it.

I seen the birthplace the Hip Hop with my own eyes

Really enjoyed the tour. Grandmaster Caz is amazing and very entertaining with his stories and experiences. He definitely exudes sincerity about hip hop culture. I come to New York often, but saw some places I've been meaning to check out. Now, I'll definitely go on my own. The lunch spot (Jacob's Restaurant) was an excellent choice. Thanks for a very entertaining tour.

Caz was the best

The tour was great. My sister and I have been to New York a few times before but never got a chance to see the parts of NYC that we got to see on the tour, like the South Bronx and Rucker Park. Grandmaster Caz was our tour guide and did a great job of educating those that didn’t really know much about hip hop while keeping the others that did know a little something something interested too. Caz is definitely passionate about hip hop and the history of it; I can’t think of a better person to lead this tour. If I could change anything, I would say that the bus could be upgraded

This tour was fun and I learned a tremendous amount not just about hip hop, but about boroughs that tourists normally don't visit. Gransmaster Caz was our tour guide and not only is he talented at all things hip hop, he's funny and really fun to hang out with throughout the tour! These guys really are the pioneers of hip hop so you get the ground floor story about the beginnings of hip hop. Did you know hip hop started with a party?!??! pretty sweet and you get to see where that party happened!

A very good way to learn about the 2nd generation of rap from QUEENS... Lots of good tidbits of rappers from that region and connecting with the physical env. is a plus. Keep up the great job and sharing the knowledge of Hip Hop - Debra and team.....

Great tour of origins of Hip Hop

Grand Master Caz was our host for this day tour...Very informative and a great deal of knowledge - as to be expected. I grew up in the Bronx in the early days of hip hop (mid 70s) -- (in the bronx - near cratona park). Of course - it was not called hip hop at that time. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to connect with the origin and learn more about the roots of hip hop. Grand Master Caz made this tour fun, provided a good deal of knowledge - Thanks. Thanks, Jose

The Hip Hop tour is excellent. - really interesting and well thought out. It is a wonderful way to see parts of the city you might not otherwise and learn about a really interesting part of NYC history. Plus, it was great to see my husband doing break dancing moves. Thanks Hush Tours and GM Caz!

You're in good hands with Grandmaster Caz as he shows you where hip-hop got its start at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue, as well as other landmarks in Harlem and the Bronx. Caz was one of the pioneers of hip-hop in the Seventies , and he's got tons of great info and stories. Bring some extra money for the wide selection of CDs, including rare live performances from legends like Grandmaster Flash and Kurtis Blow. A great way to spend a Saturday in New York!

A Real Walk Through History

This was an experience that I would not only recommend to Hip Hop enthusiast but to anyone that appreciates the history of the USA. Hip Hop is not just a black thing, it’s for everyone. Hip Hop defines a major accomplishment in history and has a place like other great accomplishments. This tour far exceeded my expectations and I have HIGH expectations! Grand Master Cass is the real deal and not only gives you the history behind Hip Hop but makes you proud of him as an individual. I would do this tour again and again. I have already started planning my next trip to NYC for my children to enjoy this wonderful experience. Keep up the fantastic work!

An in-depth ride through the history of hip-hop!

My family and I enjoyed this tour so much we look forward to our next family vacation to New York so we can enjoy some of the other ones Hush Tours provides. Grandmaster Caz was the icing on the cake for a unforgettable hip-hop tour like this. Being one of the pioneers of hip-hop, Grandmaster Caz's knowledge and real life experiences exuded his love of the culture in his interaction with the people on the tour bus. He provided a great setting for all walks of life regardless if you knew a thing about hip-hop or who the people he was telling you about. Stopping at some of the starting points and corner stones of hip-hops heartbeat was educational and exhilerating. To be somewhere where great things were created and shared with many generations was inspiring and moving. The Graffiti Wall of Fame and The Bronx Walk of Fame were some of the great highlights of the tour, as was 1520 Sedgwick Ave. We recommend this tour for those who love hip-hop or anyone who wants to learn more about it.

My boyfriend and I took this tour with Grandmaster Caz on our last day in New York. He was a great tour guide and it was fun to learn about the beginnings of hip-hop from a person who was there. I especially liked the Bronx Walk of Fame, the Graffiti Wall, and the performance at the end. I used to live in NY, but had never gone to Harlem or the Bronx on my own. I would definitely go on this tour again and take friends and family!

As a fan of hip hop this is something that everyone needs to do. Just the fact that you can spend a few hours with a hip hop legend is well worth it. Grand Master Caz was awesome and provided the coolest information ever. The places we went were great and was sort of like a pilgrimage. Even if you think you know everything there is to know about hip hop history, you will be surprised some stuff you don't know AND you actually go to specific spots that you have always read/heard about....goodtimes fo sho!
