| I enjoy hip hop and learning about the roots of hip hop. This tour did provide information about the key players and the means in which hip hop evolved, but I found it to be a little unorganized and a means to promote Grandmaster Caz's comeback. | ||||||

| There's alot of Hip Hop history straight out of Queens, and Pioneer rapper Mikey D lived it. I thought I knew alot about Queens Hip Hop History, but I have learned alot more. Visiting the homes of Run DMC, LL Cool J, the Lost Boys and many more. These guys are doing the right thang, by educating visitors from all over about Hip Hop history. Something that is not always taught in schools. I'm glad they are preserving the history by offering these tours. | ||||||

| I grew up in FL in a town that was almost 50% NYC transplants. My friends were almost entirely Inner City NY B-Boys. At 17 I finally made the journey to "mecca" aka NYC. I was able to see the borroughs that my crew crew up in. Brooklyn, Bronx, and Uptown. After high school I did whatever I could to move to the city. It was a great experience. I grew up as a hip hop head and loved every bit of it. It seemed that after high school however, hip hop became too "Gangster". All the artists would talk about was who had the best cars, gear, and who could shoot the best. Hip hop had become too commercial for it's own good. I started to lose interest. For a long time, all I simply lived in the past playing all my old tracks. The tour was very informative, it was cool to meet Reggie Reg and get first hand knowledge of the origins of hip hop. Reg was passsionate about the culture and was eager to share it with everyone. I would reccomend this tour to all my old school crew. We grew up reading the source and rap pages and we had a lot of knowledge but no one can pull it all together like the crew that was there. thanks! -Peace- | ||||||

A Great Way to Teach Your Kids Hip Hop History...

| A great way to teach your kids about the history of Hip Hop culture. I thought I knew alot about Hip Hop, but I even learned some facts. Grandmaster Caz and Reggie Reg guided this tour through Harlem. These Old School pioneers know their stuff. I'm glad I brought my kids along for the tour, now they know more than whats on TV and the radio. They know about the real Hip Hop culture, sadly something they will not learn in school, not even in the public schools of New York City, in the city where Hip Hop started. It was a fun time spent with tourist from all over the world, with my kids and I. Highly recommend this tour for everyone. | ||||||

| I thought I knew all about the birth of hip hop, but it turns out I knew little to nothing. That's why I loved this tour; it was educational and entertaining. The vibe was laid back and fun. Our group was quite diverse; Japanese tourists, British hip hop fans, and even visitors from Montana. Our guide, Grand Master Kas, was absolutely fantastic. He was knowledgeable, entertaining, funny, and most importantly, he kept it real. I had a friend visiting me from Scotland, who also loved the tour. I would take any of my future out-of-town visitors on this tour, just so that I could go again! It really was that good. Thank you Hush Tours! | ||||||

| I wish we had more places to visit where we could get out of the bus. I wish we had listened more music and less talk. It is too expensive to be in the bus for nearly three hours and eat at a $4.99 all you can eat buffet. I have eaten soul food all my life, and was disappointed. The host was kind and funny; but patronizing and not very open to dialogue. I am not crazy about tours and was trying to have a positive experience. Had it been less expensive and lasted 2 hours only, I would have enjoyed more. | ||||||

| My granddaughter and I (at her request) found Hush Hip Hop Tours online. Grand Master Cas led our tour and was extremely informative about the origins and evolution of Hip Hop. Like many musical pioneers, he had his own story to tell about the very beginning of Hip Hop and how some of his early material was used without his inclusion in future financial gain. Our bus was not especially lively or open to interaction, unfortunately. I think we ended up mostly with tourists and folks who weren't into the rap. Cas was extraordinarily knowledgeable and the B-boys were terrific, too! The tour could be expanded in a way that would encourage more participation and questions among those with a desire to know the genre. Too, the significance of Harlem as the cultural heartbeat of Black Americans could be expanded. I will recommend this tour and I would also take other visitors on it. Many kudos to the founder of this tour, Debbie, and Grand Master Cas for undertaking this important effort. | ||||||

| The information conveyed was interesting. But I wished there had been more discussion between points of interest about the nature of hip-hop culture or some personal stories about the tour leaders experiences with hip-hop. I would still reccomend it for people with an interest in hip-hop. | ||||||

| Enjoyed the time, wished it went into the Bronx a little deeper. A ride around Yankee stadium was not what I expected. Could have been more about the birthplace and neighborhoods. | ||||||

| Unfortunately, the bad weather seemed to cut our tour a little short. We drove in a car, and the first half of the tour was really pretty interesting.. I am thinking that since we drove to the "snack" destination.... instead of walking we were given a shorter version of the tour. I still enjoyed myself.. and I know that this walking tour is still new... We did not get to see the graffiti wall of fame, which was kind of disappointing.. and our guide was pretty knowledgeable... but also seemed a bit distracted after our "snack" stop... would consider the bus tour, and hopefully we would get more from that experience... | ||||||
