Great way of exploring the real New York - Grandmaster Caz was an awesome guide and it was a privilege to be given an intro to hip hop culture by him

My granddaughter and I (at her request) found Hush Hip Hop Tours online. Grand Master Cas led our tour and was extremely informative about the origins and evolution of Hip Hop. Like many musical pioneers, he had his own story to tell about the very beginning of Hip Hop and how some of his early material was used without his inclusion in future financial gain. Our bus was not especially lively or open to interaction, unfortunately. I think we ended up mostly with tourists and folks who weren't into the rap. Cas was extraordinarily knowledgeable and the B-boys were terrific, too! The tour could be expanded in a way that would encourage more participation and questions among those with a desire to know the genre. Too, the significance of Harlem as the cultural heartbeat of Black Americans could be expanded. I will recommend this tour and I would also take other visitors on it. Many kudos to the founder of this tour, Debbie, and Grand Master Cas for undertaking this important effort.

Queens hip hop tour

Fab hosts really looked after us and we thought the graffiti stop was awesome! Perhaps we could have stopped in Queens at the town centre where all the hip hop bling was on sale to buy a few gifts. Otherwise a great day for true hip hop fans. Thanks again

We were a group of 2 adult female friends and 2 children aged 13 and 15 from Uk and France. Everyone really enjoyed this tour, grandmaster Caz was engaging and interesting and the tour was relaxed and great fun. We learnt a lot about the origins of hiphop and visited some great places. I thoroughly recommend this tour.

Something different
Fri, Sep 10, 10   11:00 AM Saminho Male 20-29 International Tourist(s) Individual
At least something different from what people might experience in NYC. As a hip hop fan, i'm glad i did this. From the story of hip hop to the graffiti hall of fame, i did learn a lot. However, it would be nice if we would get a chance to actually visit Graham court or the Apollo. But if you're looking for something different, this is the tour to do.

Great tour through the history of hip hop in NYC. Legends of the game Grandmaster Caz and JDL were awesome hosts- engaging, entertaining and informative. Would recommend to almost anyone, even if you don't have a massive interest in hip hop.

Grandmaster Caz and Debra gave us more than we could ask for. We had a chance to be with one of the founders of hip hop and that in its self is priceless. I will always remember Caz's passion and dedication to the art of Hip-Hop and I can't thank Debra enough for HUSH productions and her commitment to the experience. Thank you!

Well-worth the time, the Birthplace of Hip Hop Tour provides a great introduction for the die-hard hip hop fan or the casual listener. Caz, JDL and the rest of the Hush crew provide first-hand knowledge of the history of hip hop and are great hosts for an afternoon of above-ground sightseeing across Manhattan, Harlem, Queens and the Bronx. For our group visiting the city for the first time, any concerns about spending 4 hours on a bus tour were eliminated within the first hour. We got more than our money's worth, had a great time seeing all parts of the city and took away lots of new facts about the history of hip hop. If you're looking for an intimate and expertly guided tour of New York City and hip hop music, you can't go wrong with Hush Tours and the Birthplace of Hip Hop Tour.

Visited NYC for the first time with my husband and so glad we decided to do this tour. Not only did we get to see Harlem & The Bronx which we probably wouldn've have done so on our own... we got to see it all through the eyes of Grandmaster Caz, it's a money can't buy type of tour, would recommend it to friends for sure.

Interesting walk through Harlem's musical history

Before I started this tour I knew nothing about hiphop but was curious about the scene and Harlem. JDL from Cold Crush Bros, lead us through the history of Hiphop and the magic of Harlem where music thrums at it's heart. My only regret was that the tour was only 2 hours long.
