Honest introduction to the roots of Hip Hop

| For those of us who are too young to know (and that should include most of the people interested in the Hip Hop culture today) the roots of Hip Hop and how it came about this is an exciting tour. Personally, I would have liked to know more about the pioneering Graffiti artists and the environment that spurred them. Nevertheless this tour is highly enjoyable for anyone who ever wanted to know anything about the infancy of Hip Hop and what it was like back in the days .... | ||||||

| My family and I really enjoyed the Hush Tour experience. It was a must for those who think they know about the origins of Hip Hop, especially the young ones. Rahiem was mad cool and insightful. Get the real meaning and feel of Hip Hop and be ready to be a real Hip Hop head because you have to know and embrace where it started to fully understand Hip Hop! WORD!!!! | ||||||

| When I reserved my tickets for the event, the customer service representative was extremely helpful. My group and I enjoyed the Hip Hop Tour very much. Grandmaster Caz is charismatic and humorous and made the tour extremely interesting in spite of the lack of music and DVD that are normally featured during the tour. I'm vegetarian and I was accomodated with a delicious vegetarian option for lunch. I enjoyed viewing the graffiti wall, but would have liked for someone to be available to explain the history and meaning of graffiti to the hip hop culture. It would have been great to talk to the artists directly, but it was the changing of the wall and some of them were busy finishing up their artwork. | ||||||

| The 411 on this Hip Hop tour is this. "Outstanding" it was the highlight of my trip to Nyc I want to thank Debra (Hush Tours) and the Legend "CAZ" (Cold Crush) for a Fun, Informative and most memberable Ride down Hip Hop History! From Manhattan to Harlem this is a Hands on tour where they stopped and gave us a brief discription of historical places, events and people of Hip Hop culture... whether you are OldSchool or NewSchool this a Must see when your in Nyc! HIP HOP CHURCH COMMENTS

| WE EXPECTED TO BE PICKED UP BY A BUS LIKE THE SATURDAY ACTIVITIES AND ACTUALLY SEE HARLEM BUT INSTEAD WE WENT BY SUBWAY AND GOT OUT RIGHT AT THE CHURCH AND SAW NOTHING. WOULD HAVE PREFRRED A BUS TRIP AND THAT WAY WE COULD HAVE SEEN THE AREA. I THINK $25 IS EXPENSIVE TO HAVE TO CATCH A SUBWAY TO A CHURCH THAT IS ACTUALLY FOR FREE TO GO TO. APART FROM THE ABOVE COMMENTS, I AM GLAD I WENT AND HAVE RECOMMENDED IT TO OTHERS | ||||||

| We attended the Hip Hop tour led by pioneering hip hop legends in New York. The tour was fantastic and led by people who really cared about where they came from! I was led by my brother who is a keen hip hop fan - and although I'm not an expert I do like the music! I loved it - because it was about more than music - it was about people's desire to display their identity and to teach others! I would highly recommend the tour and I would tell anyone visiting New York to give it a go as Harlem, the bronx, the people and the music is such a big part of the BIG apple! The lunch was great and everyone was really friendly and fun! WOW!! | ||||||

| As one who takes the culture of hiphop deeply, i believe that what this tour offers is essential. i feel that the first hand experience and chaperons to the actual sites is an inspiring feat. It is as if one can go and intake the essence of hip hop. i also liked how mighty mike projected hip hop as a movement that promotes unity. It is a culture that has touched all corners of the world and has influenced and taken from many cultures as well. To me, new york is the mecca of hiphop and that my visit has reinforced that it is still alive. Within individuals such as myself who can congregate and share ideas of any proportion, as i did with mightymike. i really recommend this tour because as of late, hip hop has received connotations different for what it is known for. And in my generation, it is far-branched alien to what its essence was. Overall, for those who want the first hand experience and the foundation. This tour is a must to do. Much Love from San Francisco, California. Hip-Hop Lives. | ||||||

| I really really enjoyed the Hip Hop Tour. Grandmaster Caz was AMAZING! It was the first time I'd heard about the start of Hip Hop and the tour really gave me an amazing insight into the history. I wish we'd had longer!!! Lunch stop was great - lovely food, great variety. I was extremely impressed with the tour and everyone involved in the day. Thank you all very much. Kind regards Fiona. | ||||||

| This Hip-hop tour was one of the best guided tours I have ever done. It was really a lot of fun! We have been to the first hip-hop party spot in New York, that was very special ! Grandmaster Caz tought us a lot of stuff and entertained us at the same time. I strongly recommend this tour to everybody even if they are not that much into hiphop. It is as well a great cultural and historical tour. | ||||||

Sad about the cancellations

| I enjoyed this trip however we and other passengers were all very disappointed that the pioneers of hip hop tour was cancelled and we were sent on this. It is, I would assume, a completely different tour, I (we) weren't really interested in hearing about the likes and music of Ja Rule, 50 Cent etc. So it wasn't a really suitable replacement. I guess my negative opinion stems from the fact there was 9 people on our tour and 4 of them had booked for the other tour, so I felt maybe they should have asked us if we'd like to pay more to have this tour cancelled and take the other, or just have a smaller group (I would have!!) It was really meant to be the highlight of my overseas trip so I was pretty depressed about it. Having said that, Mikey D was a great host, we saw a lot of queens, and had a pretty good time. It was better than not going at all :) | ||||||

| If you ever take a tour take this one. The best inside look at this area of Hip-hop. Brings everything you know to life. Not only this but Mikey D is a very genuine guy who makes you feel like a friend and not just a customer. This tour is worth more than the cost! | ||||||
