Off The Chain; Very Insightful

My expectations for the tour were exceeded above and beyond. I gained alot of information and alot of issues were clarified in terms of the true birthplace of Hip Hop. I was ecxcited and at the same time disappointed because the tour couldn't last for another 4 hours. Everywhere we went had a history, a purpose, and a voice. GrandMaster Caz and Debra were professional and polite. They showed us love, we felt so comfortable and because of this, we have embraced the history Hip Hop alittle more. Anyone visiting NYC should take this tour because not only is it about a cuture that was derived from a time when people were discouraged from having any culture, this tour provides a sense of open-mindedness for life and how something such as Hip Hop has caressed the hearts of individuals from Finland to Scotland. It was a pleasure talking and vibing with one of the Pioneers of Hip Hop and an honor to share his spirit. Much respect and Blessings, Kweilin and Dave

Very highly recommended for anybody that wants to know what Hiphop is really about. Reprsenting all the elements of Hiphop! Mad respect to the Pioneers and giving the time to represent what Queens Bridge/Hollis Queens has contributed to Hiphop. 5Pointz is an out of this world experience. When I go back to the NYC, I definitely need to hit up the Bronx tour!

Great Tour, a must for HipHop Heads

I attended the tour in September and I must say it was more than worth it. The tour was hosted by Grandmaster Caz who gave truly an indepth look in the history of Hip Hop. For me as a more new school guy (as I was born 1976) it was quite intersting to see all the places where it all started. Additionaly Caz could tell you everything first hand since he lived and still lives Hip Hop from the early beginning. So in all it was a great day and I can just recommend it to everyone who loves and lives Hip Hop or is just interested in this culture. Its really worth the money and time and you will make a great experience. Keep up the good work Hush Tours! Best wishes from CGN (Germany).....Andy P.S. When are you going to offer the BK tour on a more regular basis?

We had a great time in Mikey Dees Truck. He showed us all the places of NY´s HipHop Artists of today. We went to places like 5 Pointz in LIC or the famous Mr. Rooney's Barbershop in Jamaica where we met the guys you know from MTV. It was a great time we spent together and I would recommend this tour to anybody interested in todays HipHop. Keep up the good work Mikey! And all the best for your upcoming music projects. Thanks again for a great tour! Best...Andreas from CGN!

I really liked the tour. Grand Master cash was awesome. He was the best on the tour, listening to his passion for hip hop and his live experience was beautiful.

We probably seemed an unlikely group to be on the tour. Two middle aged white parents with their teenage sons. However, we all thoroughly enjoyed it . Our sons are big into hip hop - as Rahim may have told you!!! We too are very interested in all forms of music and youth culture. Rahim was a great guide. He managed to convey hip hop's history in a way which highlighted its relevance to its present day forms - music and graffiti. We all know and love Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five, so it just gave it that added something to be guided by a one-time member. The trip to the Graffiti Wall of Fame was a great moment, especially for my eldest son who is a bit of an artist himself. I think we would all have liked to see some more 'informal' graffiti too, but perhaps the Mayor's 'zero tolerance' has made that impossible? From my point of view, I was really pleased to see graffiti by young women on the Pink Wall. Going to Harlem was brilliant. We live in multiracial south London, but there is still nowhere to compare Harlem with here. I loved the energy of the place. I The tour was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.We were just sorry that we couldn't manage the coach tour too, but we'll definitely do that next time. You have a great thing going. Thank you. Heather Wakefield.

I loved the tour. I really got a great insight into the culture of hip hop, I thought I knew a lot already but learnt so much more from Caz. He was an entertaining guide. Really enjoyed his impromptu performance on the bus and also the b-boying performance at Ruckers Park. My only negative comments would be that we spent a large time in the bus, I would have liked to see more sights and also I would have liked to spend more time in the Bronx as the majority of the tour focuses on Harlem. But still, highly recommended!

you should include a store in the tour, you'd sell heaps of Sedwick and Cedar gear! All the rest is perfect, long live Hip Hop!

I really enjoyed the Hip Hop Tour Led by Pioneers

When I reserved my tickets for the event, the customer service representative was extremely helpful. My group and I enjoyed the Hip Hop Tour very much. Grandmaster Caz is charismatic and humorous and made the tour extremely interesting in spite of the lack of music and DVD that are normally featured during the tour. I'm vegetarian and I was accomodated with a delicious vegetarian option for lunch. I enjoyed viewing the graffiti wall, but would have liked for someone to be available to explain the history and meaning of graffiti to the hip hop culture. It would have been great to talk to the artists directly, but it was the changing of the wall and some of them were busy finishing up their artwork.

'Tour leader' was very knowledgeable and able to answer all the questions put to him. Covered a large area of New York and saw a number of sights en route to the following destination. Highly recommended for hip hop enthusiasts (especially fans of old school hip hop)

A True Guide to Real Hip-Hop
Sun, Jun 10, 07   12:00 PM grandmaster Unspecified 20-29 International Tourist(s) Individual
If you are a real Hip-Hop fan like myself then you have to check out this tour. The fact that most of the Hip-Hop ended coming from the borough of Queens places like Queenbridge, Hollis, Jamaica it ened up shaping the sound of Hip-Hop for years which makes this an essential tour. With Mikey D (Main Source) as your tour guide he takes you to places they don't advertise on those NY tourist guides. I was luckily enough to roll in Mikey's SUV which gave you a more real feel than being in a big tourist bus. I also got to check out the famous 'Rooney's' barber shop as seen in MTV' show 'The Shop'. As Mikey seems to know everyone he was definitley the right person to roll with. Massive respect to Mikey D, Mark and Debra. Si
