This is a really engaging and informative tour. I don't usually like group tours but this is an exception. Grandmaster Caz and JDL were very entertaining and their delivery superb. Just the fact that you get two legends of hiphop to guide you is worth it alone. Highly recommended and well worth the money. |

Amazing tour. Grand master caz and JDL provide a thorough explanation of the birth of hip hop. They were there from the beginning so they know. It is also a great black American cultural tour. |

As typical Parisians, we were running a bit late. Our host was kindly waiting for us outside City Of NY Museum, checked us in and was really friendly.
The film about NYC was very pleasant and instructive.
Then the tour started and we enjoyed it very much.
Harlem Walk this Way is about Hip Hop culture, the music, the grafitti, the style, the landmarks but also about jazz and AfroAmerican culture.
We also checked out the community gardens and found it really pleasant to be in touch with the local people.
We had a very pleasant time.
I would suggest to advertise the fact, both on zerve and HushTours that there are leaflets available in 18 foreign languages available upon request, which we didn't know (I was translating for my GF).
Also the pace of the tour didn't really allow us to ask questions for additional details eg on the music, the people etc... but the overall impression is very good! |

JD was a great tour guide and truly is the unofficial mayor of Harlem, we got to meet and speak with a whole lot of local characters which set this tour aside from any other. Totally recommend this tour to all Hip Hop fans, and even those who arent! |

Highly recommended. I knew a fair bit about hip hop before this tour but it was all put together well and the guys were great. For b-boys to grandmothers, everyone will learn something about a different side of New York and have a great time... |

That was time very well spent, actually much better than expected. Inspirationally guided by the one and only Grandmaster Caz and JDL of the Cold Crush Brothers ... Beautiful tour through the Bronx and Haarlem finishing off with a super delicous dinner at Jacob's Restaurant.
Highly recommended. |

This tour was THE Highlight of our NYC week. Not only did it educate us on the birthplace of hip hop, both Grandmaster Caz and JC were the hosts with the mosts. For lovers of graffiti, hip hop, breaking and b-boys - this tour is NOT to be missed. |

We had a brilliant time on this tour and we got to see parts of New York we probably would never have seen as tourists.
The tour hosts JDL and Caz did a brilliant job, they were very charismatic and their narrative throughout was both entertaining and informative. They do a great job in making the tour as much fun as possible.
I have been a Hip Hop fan since the mid 1980s and really enjoyed seeing the sights and hearing the stories of how the culture began. I have to add though that this tour is not just for lifelong Hip Hop fans, my girlfriend who knows very little about Hip Hop also really enjoyed the tour and found it alot of fun.
Overall throughly recommended, this is unlike any other tour in NYC. |

A great tour! JDL and Grandmaster Caz were superb hosts who made the trip fun and very memorable. You get to see some of NYC that you would never normally visit as a tourist. The tour guides tell the story of hip hop in a vivid and interesting way. I would highly recommend this tour. |
