This tour was exactly what I needed from my first NY visit. Being that I'm from Los Angeles and grew up in Watts/Compton/South Central and being able to witness the growth of Hip Hop on the west coast, your tour was exactly what I need to balance out my experience. I would have never knew where to start looking had I tried to go and find these spots on my own. Props due and given for giving me a broader vision and deeper respect for how hip hop has grown from Sedgwick and Cedar. Your tour was the highlight of my visit. Peace. I took my brother on this tour because we are both advocates of the hip-hop culture, and have enjoyed the majority of hip-hop music for many years. Grandmaster Caz was a great guide with an extensive knowledge of the culture's history. I had a really good time on the tour, and learned a lot about the inaugural generation of hip-hop that I had no idea lasted for as long as it did. The tour sustained an educational theme for hours about the growth of the culture in the 70's and before the mainstream appeal of rap music was relevant. I would recommend this tour to anyone that has a fascination with the roots of the culture beyond the rap music itself.

The tour was great! I learned a lot and I consider myself someone with a decent knowledge of hip-hop. Our tour guide was so into it all, it made the tour!! It was a great family outing and we now have a few extra bits of information about Hip Hop and New York.

First of all, the tour was great and I couldnt ask for a better guide than Grandmaster Caz. The fact that the tour was led by an ACTUAL hip hop pioneer adds the cherry on top of an already great bus tour, it really makes the tour what it is. Without knowing some of the background behind the spots that were visited, there would be nothing noteworthy to say, which is where Caz came into play not only with stories but with first hand knowledge. I would consider going back again even, but would have liked to see more places, but there's only so much time in one day! I actually felt at first that 4 hours might be a bit long, but when it got to the end, I felt we didnt have enough time! Maybe an alternate pioneer tour could be incorporated for those who want to go back. Aside from that, my only other recommendation is this, I would consider coming up with an alternate tour for hip-hop enthusiasts that gets more into detail and is a little more advanced for someone who is aleady well educated and versed on hip hop culture. The majority of the group on the tour seemed to not know much about hip hop at all, and much of the background given on the subject I already knew, which is fine, but I wanted to move past that somewhat and go deeper into some of the lesser known stories behind hip hop besides what is already known and accepted by people who have grown up and been hip hop oriented for a long time. I loved the tour. I really got a great insight into the culture of hip hop, I thought I knew a lot already but learnt so much more from Caz. He was an entertaining guide. Really enjoyed his impromptu performance on the bus and also the b-boying performance at Ruckers Park. My only negative comments would be that we spent a large time in the bus, I would have liked to see more sights and also I would have liked to spend more time in the Bronx as the majority of the tour focuses on Harlem. But still, highly recommended!

Very highly recommended for anybody that wants to know what Hiphop is really about. Reprsenting all the elements of Hiphop! Mad respect to the Pioneers and giving the time to represent what Queens Bridge/Hollis Queens has contributed to Hiphop. 5Pointz is an out of this world experience. When I go back to the NYC, I definitely need to hit up the Bronx tour!

I strongly recommend people attend the Hip Hop tour whether they are Hip Hop enthusiasts like myself or just tourists to New York who want to experience something off the beaten path. Meeting a legend like Grandmaster Caz of the mighty Cold Crush Four was my highlight as well as experiencing the sights and sounds of Uptown Harlem and the BX. The Soul Food lunch was also delicious! Next time I visit NYC I am sure I will book on the Queens tour to experience some more of the hip hop sights in the other boroughs and hopefully get to meet Mikey D of the LA Posse. The tour was dope, GM CAZ has alot of charizma and will keep you focused. Most of the stuff he said I already knew but even so was still cool just to listen to him. I hoped to be taken to see more graf sites and more points of interest, but all good never the less. P.S: the soul food restaurant that you get taken to is tasty S*?T!!!!! I highly recomended this tour. A lot of love has been put into this project meaning the lady (Sorry I forget your name) who runs the tour company accompanies the patrons and makes sure that people are enjoying themselves though it is more about the dream than the investment for her. Reggie Reg (tour guide) is an educated man who was part of the pionnering hip hop groups and he is an excellent tour guide who has the knowledge of hip hop New York and loves to share it. It's a lot of fun and it will be one of the most original, enjoyable and heartfelt tours you'll ever do.

I’d recommend the Hush Tour to anyone going to New York for several reasons. First of all it’s a great way to see the city so you can explore the sites further on your own afterwards. Secondly you’re sure to have a great time no matter if you know some of the stuff beforehand, because it’s told in such an entertaining and personal fashion. But mainly you get to see the real sites, hear the real stories and hang out with the actual pioneers. If you go on a tour of Pompeii, you can get a guide that’s knowledgeable and can even make the history seem alive, but you can’t get a guide that’s lived the history. Reggie Reg and Grandmaster Caz were incredible guides and we commend them for their work. Hush Tour is the best tour I’ve ever been on, and the one that I’ve taken the most away from.
