There were 12 people in our group, ranging in age from 16 to 60. We all agree that the package Hush Tours put together for us made our trip to New York absolutely unforgettable! The “pioneer of hip hop” that led our tour was truly an expert in all aspects of Harlem history, not just those relevant to hip hop. My 40+ year old husband and brother-in-law were rappin’ and dancin’ like they were about to be discovered. No one back home believed that Hush Tours could really “hook us up” with someone famous, but they did. We found ourselves laughing, singing, and truly being amazed the whole time. The thing we loved best about Hush Tours is that they also took the time to put together other customized shopping and sightseeing tours for us. By the time our vacation was over, we knew so much about the city it was like we had been there for months. I highly recommend Hush Tours to anyone who is planning a trip to New York City. The tour was fun and insightful...a little long, but fun nonetheless...Manna's Soul Food was dope, excellent food for sure...I learned a lot about Hip-Hop history, and it was fun listening to some of the first songs ever recorded in the name of Hip-Hop...good job, and I appreciate it. Have more cd's for sale next time, and it'd be a perfect tour! Peace

My friend wanted to book this tour, and I was interested but worried that 4 hours would be too long. I was wrong -- the 4 hours flew by! Our tour guide was Reggie Reg from the Crash Crew, and he was very entertaining and knowledgable. I also loved the interactive nature of the tour. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone remotely interested in hip-hop!

Wassup, A review straight outta Amsterdamned! The hush tour was legendary and a lot of fun! A great honour to talk and eat with Caz and Reggie Reg. The tour was excellent. It is amazing to think that you can sit there and tour these historical neighborhoods as the history of hip-hop is orally described to you from the perspective of a real hip hop pioneer. My tour was led by Curtis Blow and included everything from lunch with the man, to an improvisational turn at performing "The Brakes" live on the bus, to a question answer session. The group was small and manageable, but that will surely change as more people hear about this wonderful experience. Overall it was well organized, although a bit more discipline could help make time for a few more spots. The only complaint I would have is that we did not go to Brooklyn or Queens. They should consider lengthening the tour to include at least one of those sites as well as the sites we did cover. I would not mind another 1-1.5 hrs to see those sites, the possibilities are endless. I had a great time. It was the best tour I have ever been on and should be emulated in other cities that have historical or cultural significance that is ignored by the mainstream.

The tour was an authentic one with wonderful tour guides (what's up Caz and Reg!!) that kept the tour exciting and fun. I got to see parts of NY that I otherwise would not have gone to, and got to learn the history and stories behind where it all started. The four hours that the tour lasted were just not enough. Nobody wanted it to end. I highly recommend this tour to anyone that loves hip hop, wants to learn about hip hop, or anybody that just wants to have a good time!

This was a great highlight of our trip to NYC. We live in Oakland, CA and have been waiting for years to go on a tour like this one. Our Guide, Rahim, was very informative, personable, knowledgeable, and friendly. We gained much insight into the origins of Hip Hop and of Harlem in general. We highly recommend this tour and we'll definitely do another one on our next visit!

The tour was great. Grandmaster was awesome and very enthusiastic. He provied lots of information. The organizer of the tour, Debbie (I think) was also very helpful and very nice. We had a great time. Lunch in Harlem was cool as we got to eat collard greens and black eyed peas. The only thing I would suggest is that if we could see more of the actual sites that Grandmaster Cass talked about--the actual block where some of the partys occurred, etc. But, the tour was a blast and we have already recommended it to lots of friends, both who live in NYC and who don't. The Hip Hop Tour was excellent and I recommend it to anyone that will be making a trip to New York. The tour provided you with an indebt history of not only Hip Hop, but the Black History of New York. Caz, our tour guide was excellent and enthusiastic. The Hip Hop tour was one of the major highlights of my trip. The additional members of my group stated that they were glad that I chose this tour as one of our activities. We were also very lucky, because we were able, to tour the Apollo, which was not on our schedule, and there was also a gentlemen on the tour who conducts, some of the major tours of New York. Therefore we received some additional information on landmarks, great places to shop, and locations on where to buy discount Broadway tickets. I felt like for the money we paid, we received three tours in one, and it was well worth the money. The only negative thing that I would say about the tour is lunch. I think that the website should state, that, "Although we do stop for lunch it is not included in the tour, and you must have cash." Besides lunch, everything was great. Thank You :)

The Hip Hop tour was very knowledgeable, interesting and extermely fun. The comentator "CAZ" was the bomb and nontheless Deborah we really do appreciate you waiting on us due to the Dumb taxi driver. I will most definetly take the tour again. My people the tour is well worth your money not only is it fun it's a learning tour of our roots back in the day when Hip Hop started and you will also get a chance to see some memorable landmarks. Caz don't leave the hats at home next time!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahaha :)

Grandmaster Caz and Debra gave us more than we could ask for. We had a chance to be with one of the founders of hip hop and that in its self is priceless. I will always remember Caz's passion and dedication to the art of Hip-Hop and I can't thank Debra enough for HUSH productions and her commitment to the experience. Thank you!

Understanding the begins of Hip-Hop and Rap. One recommendation: Add more of the newer rappers as part of the tour. So, you'll get more young people involved in the understanding of the beginning of Hip-Hop.
