| This tour provided me with so much history about how hip hop originated, where, and with whom. I would have loved to have seen some actual photographs of this--the first party, how people dressed, etc. "MASTER CASANOVA FLY" was outstanding, extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. So was "MADNESS". I also would have liked to have seen more people hip hop dancing. I loved visiting the building where the first hip hop party took place. I wanted to hear more about how hip hop has changed and what it is like today. I also wanted to know more about the message that the hip hop culture shares with the world. It was so inspiring to hear about how people who loved hip hop would do anything to get the chance to dance. It seems as though hip hop is a way of life. | ||||||

| Meaningful, powerful and REAL experience. 100% recommended. This is more than a tour, its a deep dive into the world of hip-hop, and it will get you stuck off the realness. | ||||||

| Me and four friends were lucky to participate in the Hushtours last Saturday. Grandmaster Caz gave insight in the whole history of hiphop. The atmosphere was very good. Relaxed. It was really fun. I will definitely book another tour with Hushtours. Verena. | ||||||

| My son and myself had an awesome time on the tour with Grandmaster Caz! I consider myself well versed in Hip-Hop culture, but I learned alot of new things from Caz on the tour. The experience for my son will never be forgotten. Caz used him as his "teacher's assistant" and he was so excited and paid his full undivided attention throughout the whole tour. This is definitely needed, and I will pass on the info to the whole music and fashion industry contacts that i possess. Much continued success with the tour, and the history must be reinforced! This is an excellent way to do just that! THANK YOU! B-WARD | ||||||

| first of all, you must know that all three in my party loved the idea of this and we were super excited to participate in the tour. there were highlights of the three hour experience (five points, the shop stop) but definitely long periods of time that were very boring for everyone on the bus. our host mikey-d was a nice person... but not "on" for most of the time. he also was drinking throughout the day...on one stop he bought a "tall boy" budweiser and drank out of a paper bag. on another stop he bought another alcoholic bev and drank out of a paper bag. seriously unprofessional. add to that - no one in charge "knew how to work dvd player" so movie was not shown during boring parts of trip. the bottom line is that I wish mikey-d had been "on" more...when he was - he was good. also, the tour is too long. there is not enough material to fill up three hours so most of the time is spent riding around with no narration. drinking during the tour added the unprofessional touch that put it over the top. i'm sorry, but i wouldn't recommend this tour to anyone. also, i'm in public relations in new york - you could have had a big fan!!! | ||||||

| The one speaker gave lots of information but we just walked and walked and he just talked and talked. Pointing out some things as we walked was the extent of the tour. Nothing exciting happened we did not actually go inside any building or viewed any demonstrations. I was very disappointed and so was my 16 year old. We were expecting something exciting to happen. I would have rated this lower but the speaker seemed enthusiastic about hip hop. There just was no substance to the tour. | ||||||

| I heard about the tour from a friend who lives in DC and had come to NYC specifically to take her family (w/ children) on the tour recently. My husband and I live in Manhattan and didn't even know about the tour. My husband is really into music and occasionally DJ's for private parties. I got the tickets as a surprise for him and we both loved it. It was fun and really interesting - a great day. Grandmaster Caz was the best guide you could ask for - he's a Hip Hop legend. It was really an insider's tour, and it was well done and professional . The food was great as well. We had a great group of people on the tour from all over the world - all different ages and backgrounds. There was a mother with her teenage son who learned some dance moves from a professional beboyer (breakdancer). One guy from the tour group actually had a dance off with the professional dancer. Grandmaster Caz did some MCing of his own songs and some freestyling too. Then two guys from the group both stood up and did their own freestyle rap. It was the real deal. | ||||||

| I thought the tour was fun and informative. My husband and I are huge Hip Hop fans so this was a great way to spend the afternoon. We did have a couple of suggestions to make the tour look more professional. The speaker box that was used could be update and of better quality, it kept blinking in and out. The explaination of hip hop was great but we would have like to hear and see more relevant facts regarding hip hop and its relevance to NYC. We thought that they could put the Hush Tour sign on an A-frame so it would be easier to display and take with them during the tour rather then trying to hook it up to the door (which was rolled up while were there) or hooked to a fence in the park. It would have been nice to be given some time at the graffity wall to take pictures rather then running after the group and having to miss the speakers remarks to take them. I realize the tour is regarding the history of rap starting with it's pioneers but I think it would be of value to show the connection of how those individuals influenced modern day rappers or show some connections through time, from one generation to the next. sort of a 6 degrees of seperation thing. Those are my suggestions. Thanks for a great day. | ||||||

| CWe enjoyed our host, Reggie Reg, who was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Had trouble hearing what he was saying due to street noise. But aside from the graffitti wall of fame (really unique), we did not see much that was specific to hip hop culture or history. Also some stops listed on the web site -- hip hop clubs, oldest record store in Harlem -- were not visited and the Apollo stop was just a brief step into the lobby. The MSNY stop at the beginning, especially the video, had nothing to do with the tour, really. Better would have been a stop to see a video with some of the hip hop performers mentioned by our host. | ||||||
