This was my 2nd Hush Tour and both have been excellent ("Where Brooklyn At" in 2011). Our Birth of Hip Hop tour was guided by Grandmaster Caz and he was completely engaging and incredibly informative. He brought terrific insight into the culture and history of hip hop and the entire Hush crew kept everyone interested and engaged. The tour in very interactive and I really appreciate it being "PG" so that it really is family friendly. Definately take this tour if you are interested in music and/or just want an appreciation for this truly American art form, and are looking for something everyone in the family can enjoy. |

Really enjoyed this tour, Grandmaster Caz is a brilliant host, very knowledgable, funny and engaging. Would definitely do the other tours (Brooklyn etc) next time I'm back in NY. Learned quite a bit too. Would definitely recommend it to anyone with even a passing interest in the history of hip hop. |

The tour was an awesome experience as we learned some really cool facts about the culture and origins of Hip Hop, having GrandMaster Caz as our guide was the highlite and He engaged with our group on a personal level and this was very humbling as many people dont know about the true roots of Hip Hop and its pioneers. Wish we could stay longer to experience the neighbourhood and its people and experience the culture from within the heart of its Birth Place. I will share my experience wherever i go and encourage my friends and fellow Hip Hop fans to make sure they experience the tour whenever they visit NYC. Please organise Hip Hop camps in future if possible. Would love to return sumday and i wish The Hush Crew great success for the future. Stay Blessed* Peace&Luv.

The best way to see Harlem is by doing a hip hop walking tour with a hip hop legend! Reggie Reg greeted everyone like we were old friends. His knowledge and enthusiasm was infectious and made the tour awesome! We got to see areas of Harlem that we wouldn't have seen without doing the tour. Highlights included Graffiti Wall of Fame, the Apollo Theater and enjoying lunch at Jacob's soul food restaurant with Reggie Reg at the end of the tour!

Took my husband on the tour for his birthday. He is a fan of graffiti and hip hop so i thought the tour would be perfect. We really enjoyed it and got to see a different area of NYC then we typically visit. The tourguide was wonderful and made it interactive and fun. The only area for improvement would be the length of the tour. I felt it was a little longer than it needed to be. It took up the majority of our day so we weren't able to see or do anything else while we were visiting. |

Although my wife does not like hiphop that much, she loved this interactive and entertaining bus tour. Grandmaster Caz was the perfect host. His enthousiasm rubbed off on the group immediately. Let's be honest: most tourist don't visit the part of New York North of Central Park. This is the opportunity to see those parts of town (Harlem/Bronx). And if you love hiphop than you're in for a treat! Next time we will visit another tour by this organization without hesitation! |

It was a really interesting tour, with lots of fun things happening along the way. The dancing part was really really cool! Towards the end of the tour however, I became a little tired and very hungry. A good tips for the future is to inform ahead of what time the lunch will be, or perhaps move the lunch a little earlier, take it in the middle of the tour. At times during the tour I felt that I should have read a bit more about hiphop before the tour because there were lots of names that it felt like should have recognized but did not. Overall a very good tour, well worth the time! |

I am really attached to hip-hop and what disappointed me is that there is almost no hip-hop in NY, most of historical hip-hop places turned into 99 cents stores - not really a must to see. Trip is too short, especially rushing during lunch is annoying. What is a plus - its almost impossible to find any information on the Internet about any hip-hop places such as murals etc., so its a good way to find out where they are. Trip is true and entertaining though. It was a big surprise to meet there people who simply wanted to find out what hip-hop is :) . But still - not really worth the prize if you know where to look for hip-hop in NY yourself. |

It was fun, informatory and entertaining! Grandmaster Caz is a great guide, storyteller and person. The concept of Hush is amazing and you will see parts of boroughs that are beyond typical tourist trips! The main aspect to book a tour is to learn more about the birth and the birthplace of hiphop, Caz will teach you... |

I took my partner with me on this tour just hoping it would be a good way to see some historical music sights and get a good look at Harlem and The Bronx as the rest of our trip to NYC was focused on other areas.
We both had a blast, Grandmaster Caz was a great tour guide and it was awesome to be hanging out with such a legend. I have been living hip hop since Walk This Way and still learned a tonne of stuff and had a great time. The missus also had a ball. Highly Recommended! |
