Hush Tours

We really enjoyed the experience, it was a informative lesson in the history and culture of hip hop. While still being fun and upbeat. Regie Reg and Kurtis Blow really made the tour great. Not to be missed if visiting New York!

My son and myself had an awesome time on the tour with Grandmaster Caz! I consider myself well versed in Hip-Hop culture, but I learned alot of new things from Caz on the tour. The experience for my son will never be forgotten. Caz used him as his "teacher's assistant" and he was so excited and paid his full undivided attention throughout the whole tour. This is definitely needed, and I will pass on the info to the whole music and fashion industry contacts that i possess. Much continued success with the tour, and the history must be reinforced! I really liked the tour. Being guided through some of the most important places in hiphop history by one of its first minute participants was certainly an experience not to be missed. I appreciated the stories and the vast knowledge and personal experiences they were based on. Grandmaster Caz entertained us well, and I am sure we all learned a lot. However, the real tour was over after 2 1/2 hours. Although lunch was excellent, I wished we would have visited a few more places - I am sure there are more than the ones we have seen. Overall, the concept and its realization worked very much to my satisfaction, and I would recommend going on the tour.

The tour guide was very energetic & passionate about what he was doing & did his best to answer questions throughout the tour. Eating in Harlem was a good experience to get a feel of the place, the experience could have been enriched if this part of the tour was combined with a mini walking tour taking in Spanish Harlem aswell. The Bronx part of the tour didnt really explore the area in the same way as the Harlem part but the breakdancing part of it was good & getting some of the tour party involved in the dancing & MC ing on the bus was good. Maybe an oppurtunity to try some scratching would have been good. Overall goodee good tour, but dont expect too much in the 4hrs & you shouldnt be dissspointed. The tour guide was good but maybe if he was a little more open-minded about the different contributions made by different artists rather than his view then this would have been nice.

Grandmaster Caz talked and sang with verve while we traveled from the upper West side all the way to the Bronx and back again and we wished we could've stayed a bit longer. To walk the streets and get more and more into the mood. Don't forget to check out the little record shop that sits next to the diner where we had our soul food.

the only thing better about learning hip hop history is being taken on a tour of the people who created it.

It was my first time to NYC and out of all the tours we participated in, this was by far the best. Being a fan of Old School Hip Hop and wanting to see the sights of both Harlem and The Bronx, this tour killed 2 birds with one stone. The tour was packed with plenty of sites to see and Grandmaster Caz's sheer enthusiasm, knowledge and friendliness went a long way. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in either the history of Hip Hop or just seeing another side to New York. My wife, who had no prior interest in Hip Hop, thoroughly enjoyed it and that is testament to Caz and to the team behind Hush Tours.

I've lived in NY for 7 years and had never been on this Hip Hop tour before. I wish I'd tried it sooner - it's by far the most entertaining and informative tour I've ever taken. I've had so many visitors down the years that would have loved to have taken this tour. I'll definitely be recommending it to any friends who visit me in future who have some sort of interest in Hip Hop music and culture. It was a real privilege to learn about the early history of Hip Hip from the personal viewpoint of one of the true greats of the genre.

This tour shows the side of NY the other tours do not, which is very important. I am really glad of all the work you are doing to preserve hip hop history. Liked everything. Loved how much knowledge Caz had. What I would add is that we all make up a rap song together on the tour bus. Also, eat at Amy Ruth's. Peace.

An excellent tour and an excellent host! After reading other reviews our expectations were high and Hush Tours didn't fail to deliver. Everyone should take this tour.

I don't usually do tours because they get boring and I like to get out, not just sit on a bus. But this tour was interactive and kept the pace going. The tour guides were impressive and yet very personal. It did feel like you had family taking you around but Grand Master Caz isn't family, he is a legend. It was great and I hope to take another one.

Myself and my wife recently celebrated out first anniversary with a trip to NYC. We were thoroughly entertained, and enjoyed a beautiful afternoon with Grandmaster Caz and the Hush Hip Hop tour. I highly recommend this tour! It was informative, fun, and very educational. Well worth the ticket price, one of the true bargains in NYC.

My family and I enjoyed this tour so much we look forward to our next family vacation to New York so we can enjoy some of the other ones Hush Tours provides. Grandmaster Caz was the icing on the cake for a unforgettable hip-hop tour like this. Being one of the pioneers of hip-hop, Grandmaster Caz's knowledge and real life experiences exuded his love of the culture in his interaction with the people on the tour bus. He provided a great setting for all walks of life regardless if you knew a thing about hip-hop or who the people he was telling you about. Stopping at some of the starting points and corner stones of hip-hops heartbeat was educational and exhilerating. To be somewhere where great things were created and shared with many generations was inspiring and moving. The Graffiti Wall of Fame and The Bronx Walk of Fame were some of the great highlights of the tour, as was 1520 Sedgwick Ave. We recommend this tour for those who love hip-hop or anyone who wants to learn more about it.
