| I really really enjoyed the Hip Hop Tour. Grandmaster Caz was AMAZING! It was the first time I'd heard about the start of Hip Hop and the tour really gave me an amazing insight into the history. I wish we'd had longer!!! Lunch stop was great - lovely food, great variety. I was extremely impressed with the tour and everyone involved in the day. Thank you all very much. Kind regards Fiona. | ||||||

| I highly recommend this tour. Having grown up with Hip Hop, albeit on the other side of the world - from the outside looking in, I loved going through Harlem and the Boogie Down Bronx, listening to the stories by the host (in our case Caz) , going thru the elements etc. It was all good and then some. | ||||||

| We knew nothing about hip hop and as tourists we were advisedto take this tour and we were so glad we did! Grandmaster Caz was funny, intelligent and a fantastic guide! We learnt so much and it was great to visit Harlem and the Bronx too. He's motivated me to learn more about Hip hop and we are telling all our Aussie friends to do this tour as it was the best tour I've ever done! Thank you! Tania and Goran (Australia) | ||||||

| This Hip-hop tour was one of the best guided tours I have ever done. It was really a lot of fun! We have been to the first hip-hop party spot in New York, that was very special ! Grandmaster Caz tought us a lot of stuff and entertained us at the same time. I strongly recommend this tour to everybody even if they are not that much into hiphop. It is as well a great cultural and historical tour. | ||||||

| We meet Grandmster Caz, who is a very friendly and funny person. After we got on the bus he told us some things about hip hop`s history and we meet a B-Boy in Harlem, who showed us some moves and some of the visitors had the opportunuity to learn some B-Boy moves. We visited also some historic spots of Harlem and the Bronx and had lunch at a soul food restaurant. I can recommend this tour to everybody, who likes to see NYC from a different side and everybody, who is interested in hip hop culture. This tour is organized very good and informative. The tourguides are very friendly. | ||||||

| I enjoyed this trip however we and other passengers were all very disappointed that the pioneers of hip hop tour was cancelled and we were sent on this. It is, I would assume, a completely different tour, I (we) weren't really interested in hearing about the likes and music of Ja Rule, 50 Cent etc. So it wasn't a really suitable replacement. I guess my negative opinion stems from the fact there was 9 people on our tour and 4 of them had booked for the other tour, so I felt maybe they should have asked us if we'd like to pay more to have this tour cancelled and take the other, or just have a smaller group (I would have!!) It was really meant to be the highlight of my overseas trip so I was pretty depressed about it. Having said that, Mikey D was a great host, we saw a lot of queens, and had a pretty good time. It was better than not going at all :) | ||||||

| September 2009 met with the legendary Mike D, and his crew and scooted over the bridge to Queens to hear his thoughts on Rap & Hip hop. There was 8 on the tour and I think we were the only couple who didnt know the history or most of the rappers he mentioned - by the end I knew my 'Ladies Love' from my Grandmaster Jay alright. Good fun, and Mikey D is so passionate - shame he only hit the UK for the first time this year though. We hit the Queensbury projects, 5 points graffitti, Hollis, Jamaica and then his favourite Barbers!! The soul food stop was great - the original Technics 1210s on display with all the platinum discs aswell. We had a great time Mike. You kept me laughing the whole tour (especially how the bad boy rapper was struggling with his allergies that day!!) Only downside was at times it seemed a bit stretched out and the lads werent sure what to do next or where to go. Apart from that, yeah it was worth the money and we have the memory of watching the man in action Freestyling away on the bus without any anti-histamines!! Paul & Claire Garstang, UK | ||||||

| I have been into Hip Hop since the late 80's - among loads of other musical styles and was looking very much forward to this tour (after being told about it by a friend who did it a few years back). I was on the tour with my wife (whom is not THAT into hip hop), but we both learned so much! Not only about Hip Hop and the origins, but also about American history (although it might "only" be 30 year old history) We were fully entertained throughout the entire trip! Grandmaster Cas was the perfect host for this. Friendly, witty, knowledgeable and fresh! I have a few friends that will be going to New York and this tour will be highly recommended! | ||||||

| Despite long times on the bus and spending the last quarter of the 4 hours tour for lunch break and driving back to manhattan , i can recommend that off the beaten path experience, especially if you are into hip hop. Caz is such an charismatic and authentic guide that you should do this tour just listen to his involvement into the rap game which is by the way also one of the best introduction to the early days of hip hop out there. his storytelling alongside the sights made this to one of the most memorable experience of my nyc adventure. enjoy! | ||||||

| I highly recommend Hush Tours NYC, if you are looking for a guided cultural tour with a difference. If you have time, you may want to consider at least two tours. I booked this tour using the online booking system, as I am from Australia. Hush Tours is not the run of the mill guided tour. It is much more and you are bound to learn something new, even if you are an avid hip-hop fanatic and expert yourself. I found the company to be prepared, on time, upbeat and host Grandmaster Caz is a natural talent, who will ensure you are guided tour an interactive experience of his backyard, NYC. I toured in Aug 2009. It is a positive experience. | ||||||

Not worth the money

| Well, I was really disappointed since the focus of the tour was so narrow and there was no information about political reasons that started Hip Hop. It was just a tour in a bus showing us the house where the first "hip hop party" took place and a short drive through Harlem to show us an area used in some old movies, but nothing about the real start of hip hop. So, in my opinion it was kind of a rip-off and nothing to really inform about the beginning of Hip Hop. Moreover, Caz just happened to be bragging about his involvement in the birth of Hip Hop and nothing more. | ||||||
