| Our guide was very knowledgeable & pointed out various landmarks, however, the tour was to have lasted two hours & only lasted one. Also, the ad mentions photo opportunities with legends of hip hop & the chance to purchase c.d.'s, etc. We never got either of these. I enjoyed the tour & would certainly recommend it to anyone who has an interest in hip hop, but doesn't necessarily know much about its history. However, our particular guide only brought us up to the late 1980's/early 1990's & didn't continue to discuss the evolution up to the present. | ||||||

| It was great to be with Grandmaster Caz and a highly international group of attendees. I learned so much and had an awesome time. I was in the city for 7 days and this tour was the best of my entire trip! I totally look at everything with new eyes-graffiti, hip-hop, rap, breaking, everything is different now! Caz is a highly entertaining, charming, friendly, intelligent and informative guide, and the group was really friendly and excited to participate. It was also great to watch everyone breaking in Rucker Park with Mighty Mouse. All in all, in was an honor to spend time with Caz and the group as a whole! | ||||||

A True Guide to Real Hip-Hop

| If you are a real Hip-Hop fan like myself then you have to check out this tour. The fact that most of the Hip-Hop ended coming from the borough of Queens places like Queenbridge, Hollis, Jamaica it ened up shaping the sound of Hip-Hop for years which makes this an essential tour. With Mikey D (Main Source) as your tour guide he takes you to places they don't advertise on those NY tourist guides. I was luckily enough to roll in Mikey's SUV which gave you a more real feel than being in a big tourist bus. I also got to check out the famous 'Rooney's' barber shop as seen in MTV' show 'The Shop'. As Mikey seems to know everyone he was definitley the right person to roll with. Massive respect to Mikey D, Mark and Debra. Si | ||||||

| Being a fan of Hip-Hop from the early 80s to todays different sound this tour was a true experience of Hip-Hop culture which defined and still defines New York City. Travelling to the birthplace of Hip-Hop The Bronx as well as Harlem our tour guide 'Reggie Reg' gave all the info anyone who was unaware of what 'Hip-Hop culture' was all about. Knowing my Hip-Hop history it was great to visit The Graffiti Hall of Fame, Rucker Park and other places of Hip-Hop relevence which you wouldn't normally find on that New York tourist map!. Whether you are a Hip-Hop historian or a novice Hush tours can deliver the info and experience like no other. Massive shout out to Reggie Reg of The Crash Crew , Madness and of course Debra. | Overall, I thought the experience was well intentioned but I felt it came up short in a few ways. Our guide was very friendly and personable. It was great to have a member of a pioneering hiphop group, but I felt he could have benefited from some specific training in tour operation. He brought up a lot of interesting facts and stories but I thought his historical knowledge was a bit sprawling and patchy. The tour was really about the origins of hiphop more than anything, and not so much it's evolution. Basically we got as far as RUN DMC (which is really just the beginning), and stopped there. Also, the video at the beginning, while interesting did not relate to hiphop specifically. I think the video should be recommended to the tour group but should not take up a half hour of the tour. Great idea, many simple ways to make it alot better. | ||||||

| hip-hop 101 on the bus, passing landmarks and stopping off to see graffiti hall of fame, break dancing and other important spots. the stop in harlem is especially good (soul food restaurant, too). bronx was only a brief drive-thru, but i guess it's important to at least go there. what makes this tour good is that it's led by an early hip-hop artist, in this case grandmaster caz, who was very entertaining. | ||||||

| I really liked the tour. Being guided through some of the most important places in hiphop history by one of its first minute participants was certainly an experience not to be missed. I appreciated the stories and the vast knowledge and personal experiences they were based on. Grandmaster Caz entertained us well, and I am sure we all learned a lot. However, the real tour was over after 2 1/2 hours. Although lunch was excellent, I wished we would have visited a few more places - I am sure there are more than the ones we have seen. Overall, the concept and its realization worked very much to my satisfaction, and I would recommend going on the tour. | ||||||

| This tour was exactly what I needed from my first NY visit. Being that I'm from Los Angeles and grew up in Watts/Compton/South Central and being able to witness the growth of Hip Hop on the west coast, your tour was exactly what I need to balance out my experience. I would have never knew where to start looking had I tried to go and find these spots on my own. Props due and given for giving me a broader vision and deeper respect for how hip hop has grown from Sedgwick and Cedar. Your tour was the highlight of my visit. Peace. | The tour was dope, GM CAZ has alot of charizma and will keep you focused. Most of the stuff he said I already knew but even so was still cool just to listen to him. I hoped to be taken to see more graf sites and more points of interest, but all good never the less. P.S: the soul food restaurant that you get taken to is tasty S*?T!!!!! Respect to the organisers and GM CAZ | ||||||

| It was such a good day out. Plenty of information about everything hip hop delivered in a fun way. Reggie is really passionate about everything hip hop and this rubs off on the people on the tour. Lots of opportunities to ask questions and chat There are also some fun surprises and I had a briliiant time even though I went on my own as my friends felt it was too 'hip hop' for them. They were wrong even if like Hip Hop but are not that knowledgeable about it you will still have a great time. | ||||||
