You are not going to get a more authentic tour in New York. Even though I grew up in the second generation of hip-hop it was a great history lesson not only of hip-hop but of New York as well. The tour guide did a great job of giving in depth first person information with regards to hip-hop - I would highly recommend this tour.

I can recommend this tour, but I have to say that I already knew most of the things the tourguide told us before. It's interesting but maybe not deep enough into HipHop culture. So if you want to know about it, read a book.

The Hip Hop tour was very knowledgeable, interesting and extermely fun. The comentator "CAZ" was the bomb and nontheless Deborah we really do appreciate you waiting on us due to the Dumb taxi driver. I will most definetly take the tour again. My people the tour is well worth your money not only is it fun it's a learning tour of our roots back in the day when Hip Hop started and you will also get a chance to see some memorable landmarks. Caz don't leave the hats at home next time!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahaha :)

The tour started with as much energy as it ended. Grandmaster Caz and JDL were outstanding! You truly feel as if your are on a time machine, learning about all of the smaller footnotes of Hip-Hop that the rap industry has left out. You really get to come face to face with the struggle these legends have in trying to maintain the integrity that Hip-Hop began with. This is the only place where you can come to meet, talk to, and interact with a LIVING LEGEND. This is a one of a kind event, to be enjoyed by all cultures, races, ages, and backgrounds. If you love Hip-Hop, and really want a solid perspective on where it acme from, then I would reccomend this tour WITHOUT QUESTION!!!

I was in NYC for a day and was fortunate enough that I could fit this tour into my schedule. The tour was fantastic. There's no better way to see NYC than on a bus that plays classics like Kurtis Blow's "Basketball" at Rucker Park and Grandmaster Flash's "The Message" while driving through the Bronx. Grandmaster Caz is a living legend. As one the the pioneers of hip hop, his knowledge is beyond old school, it's pre-school. Had a great time. If you are trying to decide what tour to take while visiting NYC, I highly recommend this one.

First of all, the tour was great and I couldnt ask for a better guide than Grandmaster Caz. The fact that the tour was led by an ACTUAL hip hop pioneer adds the cherry on top of an already great bus tour, it really makes the tour what it is. Without knowing some of the background behind the spots that were visited, there would be nothing noteworthy to say, which is where Caz came into play not only with stories but with first hand knowledge. I would consider going back again even, but would have liked to see more places, but there's only so much time in one day! I actually felt at first that 4 hours might be a bit long, but when it got to the end, I felt we didnt have enough time! Maybe an alternate pioneer tour could be incorporated for those who want to go back. Aside from that, my only other recommendation is this, I would consider coming up with an alternate tour for hip-hop enthusiasts that gets more into detail and is a little more advanced for someone who is aleady well educated and versed on hip hop culture. The majority of the group on the tour seemed to not know much about hip hop at all, and much of the background given on the subject I already knew, which is fine, but I wanted to move past that somewhat and go deeper into some of the lesser known stories behind hip hop besides what is already known and accepted by people who have grown up and been hip hop oriented for a long time. Thanks, and AAAAAA++++ for the tour and its organizers

A guided tour of hip hop landmarks in the city where it all began and guided by hip hop LEGENDS no less! You can't go wrong, people. My friends and I were fortunate to have the pleasure of Reggie Reg and the one and only Kurtis Blow. These two cats guided us through the rich history of old school hip hop while asking us to take in scenery that is legendary. If you know your hip hop, you know pretty much every story these guys will tell, but to hear it from people who helped create hip hop is a wholly different experience. Plus, one of my friends kinda tagged along and wasn't so much into the history of hip hop, but he was really positively surprised and learned a thing or two. Both Blow and Reg are elder hip hop statesmen and act as such. Plenty of smiles and no bad vibes whatsoever. You will not regret it!

If you have any interest in music this tour is a must for you. Grandmaster Cas, our tour guide, was superb and to think he was at the forefront of this music revolution is amazing. This tour will take you to parts of New York you will not otherwise visit, and you will also get an excellent history lesson long the way. A fun informative tour that will probably be the highlight of your holiday. Also great for teenagers if they are into hip hop.
