An amazing insight into the history of Hip Hop

A brilliant tour, I think me and my friends will all agree this is one of the best we have ever done and we've travelled all over the world. Grandmaster Caz was a trully great tour guide and to have someone who was there right at the birth of hip hop to show you round where it all started felt like a real privillege. Was a great start to our holiday in New York and took us to areas we might not have otherwise gone to.

Grandmaster Caz and the Hush Hip Hop Tour!!

The Hush hip hop tour led by the one and only Grandmaster Caz was one of the greatest days of my life! Being shown around Harlem and the Bronx by one of the pioneers of hip hop, not some phoney tour guide, was as authentic as you'll get. Seeing all of the graffiti and getting to walk on Rucker Park is something I'll never forget. Caz was friendly, knowledgeable and made for a terrific day! Finally the food at Mama's Soul Food was amazing and the staff and diners were also very friendly. Thanks Hush and thanks Caz!

Great day, very informative, very fun, and led by one of my childhood heros. I would highly recommend this tour to any hip hop enthusiast, of any age from any corner of the world. All the sights, all the history, and a wonderfully friendly team. Grand Master Caz was an absolute star. Thanks guys, i will remember this for years to come.

The Hip Hip Legends tour was excellent! I was a little apprehensive before the tour, but there was no reason to worry - this is a 100% professionally organised tour, with safety and enjoyment at it's heart. Everyone on our bus had varying degrees of knowledge about Hip Hop and where it all began, but the tour catered for everyone. Everyone who went on the tour came away learning something new (even those that lived through the early days in New York!) This was solely down to the excellent Grandmaster Caz! He was the ultimate host - funny and factual, with an energy and enthusiasm that was infectious. My highlight was the Graffiti Hall of Fame in Spanish Harlem (the main reason for me going on the tour), but there wasn't a dull moment. Getting the opportunity to attempt to breakdance in Rucker Park or try some genuine Soul Food in Harlem. Seeing the venue of the first ever Hip Hop party - where it all began! And above all, you get to be shown round by a real legend! Thanks Hush Tours for a great day out - I will be back!

my boy and i took this tour to check out historic places in NYC that were important in the early days of hip hop. As both of us have been down with hip hop for 10-15 years we werent after the beginner class style that the tour was. Would have been dope if the tour have delved deeper into the mindset of the movement (but cant expect much as its more aimed at tourists/people who dont follow hip hop). Caz was the best mc we could have hoped for, entertained us like crazy and we were lucky enough to meet KRS-1 on our tour so u aint gonna catch too much reck from us. Look forward to a tour (if possible) that takes heads deeper into the old stomping grounds of all the elements of this ish'. THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND - U NEVER KNOW WHO U COULD CATCH CRUISIN WITH CAZ IN NYC!!

Not a bad tour.

I thought the enthuiasm shown by our guide was second to none but I think it would of been nice to have met further uptown to avoid the journey uptown which seemed to take a great length of time. I hoped we would of spent a bit more time in the Bronx and visited a few more spots rather than the one port of call at Sedgewick Avenue. Although seeing KRS 1 was a bonus I would of thought a visit to the Wildstyle Amphitheate or to Kool Herc's old club would of been more educational to the Hip Hop enthusiast than a trip to 125th Street. And I felt the restaurant trip was not really necessary. Cas was a good tour guide and his rap at the end of the tour was a good end to an overall satisfying 4 hours.

the greatest thing about the tour was definitely the guide, grandmaster caz. he was very funny and inspiring - and he told some funny anecdotes about the birth of hiphop. if you can live with the awkward feeling of going on a safari into places where regular people live (you'll - rightfully - catch some bitter comments from the people living in harlem and in the bronx) i can definitely recommend it. bless up!
