| Everyone tell's you all the things you have to do when going to NYC. Well, this is one of them it's just a shame not many people know about it! The tour was superb, informative and entertaining and relevant to both hip-hop fanatics and novices alike. Grandmaster Caz was quality from start to finish. We heard some great stories, had some great food, saw some great sites and were lucky enough to witness Caz perform first hand! If you want to do something completely different from the usual tourist stuff then make sure you do this!!! |

| Quite simply the highlight of me and DJ Prin-ce's four day visit to NYC from the UK. It surpassed my expectations in terms of the depth of knowledge and love for the roots of Hip Hop from the Hush Tours team, but especially the guide Grandmaster Caz. I thought I knew something about Hip Hop, but soon realised that I didn't know a lot...and still have a lot to learn. Quite simply, this Hip Hop tour is an essential part of your visit to NYC regardless of whether you are into Hip Hop culture or not. Respect to the four elements of Hip Hop...Peace!

| This tour was exactly what I needed from my first NY visit. Being that I'm from Los Angeles and grew up in Watts/Compton/South Central and being able to witness the growth of Hip Hop on the west coast, your tour was exactly what I need to balance out my experience. I would have never knew where to start looking had I tried to go and find these spots on my own. Props due and given for giving me a broader vision and deeper respect for how hip hop has grown from Sedgwick and Cedar. Your tour was the highlight of my visit. Peace.

| I took my brother on this tour because we are both advocates of the hip-hop culture, and have enjoyed the majority of hip-hop music for many years. Grandmaster Caz was a great guide with an extensive knowledge of the culture's history. I had a really good time on the tour, and learned a lot about the inaugural generation of hip-hop that I had no idea lasted for as long as it did. The tour sustained an educational theme for hours about the growth of the culture in the 70's and before the mainstream appeal of rap music was relevant. I would recommend this tour to anyone that has a fascination with the roots of the culture beyond the rap music itself. |

| Caz really brings the story alive, ably abetted by the borrowed bling bringing further character! I would heartily recommend this tour to ANYONE with even a passing interest in the music. Its well organised, structured and unpretentious. An unforgettable experience for this Hip Hop old timer!!!!!!! |

| First of all, the tour was great and I couldnt ask for a better guide than Grandmaster Caz. The fact that the tour was led by an ACTUAL hip hop pioneer adds the cherry on top of an already great bus tour, it really makes the tour what it is. Without knowing some of the background behind the spots that were visited, there would be nothing noteworthy to say, which is where Caz came into play not only with stories but with first hand knowledge. I would consider going back again even, but would have liked to see more places, but there's only so much time in one day! I actually felt at first that 4 hours might be a bit long, but when it got to the end, I felt we didnt have enough time! Maybe an alternate pioneer tour could be incorporated for those who want to go back. Aside from that, my only other recommendation is this, I would consider coming up with an alternate tour for hip-hop enthusiasts that gets more into detail and is a little more advanced for someone who is aleady well educated and versed on hip hop culture. The majority of the group on the tour seemed to not know much about hip hop at all, and much of the background given on the subject I already knew, which is fine, but I wanted to move past that somewhat and go deeper into some of the lesser known stories behind hip hop besides what is already known and accepted by people who have grown up and been hip hop oriented for a long time. | I strongly recommend people attend the Hip Hop tour whether they are Hip Hop enthusiasts like myself or just tourists to New York who want to experience something off the beaten path. Meeting a legend like Grandmaster Caz of the mighty Cold Crush Four was my highlight as well as experiencing the sights and sounds of Uptown Harlem and the BX. The Soul Food lunch was also delicious!
Next time I visit NYC I am sure I will book on the Queens tour to experience some more of the hip hop sights in the other boroughs and hopefully get to meet Mikey D of the LA Posse.

| We went on this tour with Grandmaster Caz, He's a good guide
there was only one negative thing, me and my mother were there on a day that a Large group dancers ( or whatever ) went with us... so when Caz asked who liked his song almost everybody puts there hand in the air.. but ofcourse only the large group gets that song.. thats a lillte pitty ..
In general, it was a great tour !! |
