| Universally excellent - anyone who cares for hip hop enough to see past the cristal and the grills needs to spend an afternoon with Caz and his memories.. goes a long way to pass on some much needed cultural pride re this phenomenon.
What Debra is doing is worth everyone with a beat in their soul's attention - the outreach to the NYC community is also to be commended.. make it a stop on your NYC visit..
oh and Mannas chicken is the s***!

| This tour is so inspiring and exciting! On our tour, Reggie Reg (Crash Crew) and Raheem (Furious Five) took us on a journey to understanding and appreciating hip hop culture from its inception to its influence on popular culture today. The tour was interactive, tasty (yummy soul food in Harlem), and without doubt the highlight of our visit to New York. Thank you Hush Tours for this great experience! |

| I am a 32 year old B Boy from England, my whole reason to go to NYC was to see first hand where Hip Hop began.
When i found out about the tour online, i thought yeah right like im going to meet a real pioneer....well how wrong was i!.
We found the meeting place easy, Debbie was really nice to meet, the group was a mixture of races ages and religions-the way real hip hop is.
When our guide arrived i was shocked to meet the one and only "Grandmaster Caz" from the hip hop legendary group the "Cold Crush Brothers".
I was shocked after seeing him on tv, movies and listening to his music for over 25 years of my life-there he was in front of me!!!! this guy is a legend no doubt, he really broke it down for everyone and explained in a fun way about hip hop-he really is such a nice person who answered all the questions even my annoying show of hands as i knew the answers to so many of his questions!!!.
The whole tour really did make my holiday to NYC complete and i would like to thank Caz and Debbie for that.
No matter if you know everything or nothing about Hip hop go and see a true master at work....i recommend this tour 110% for anyone.
Real Hip hop lives on!. |

| Our tour guide was Raheim from Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, and he was great at breaking down the orgins of hip-hop culture. My brother said it was one of the best tours he's ever been on and I agree ! If you want to avoid the tourist traps and visit the real New York, this tour is not to be missed. |

| It was an excellent day, something you must experieance if you have had any interest at all in the roots of hiphop. Covering every aspect of the culture I found the tour very informative and entertaining. This was largely due to having Grandmaster Caz as our host, it was great to hear his unbiased and detailed story of the early days of hiphop and the part he played in it.
Higlights of the day included visiting 106 and park grafitti hall of fame, somewhere I have wanted to visit for many years - Excellent pieces by Dez, Ink76, Pink and Tats Crew.
We also enjoyed visiting Rucker Park where we were given an exhibition in b-boying by some of the locals.
Another highlight was visiting the Apollo theatre in Harlem, where we had the oppotunity to get off the bus and take photos.
The only disappointing thing on an otherwise excellent day was not being able to actually enter the Hall of fame which was locked - although still managed to get some excellent photos.
Just being able to visit places I had only ever seen in films and books was a truly amazing experience that I would recommend to anyone. |

| What can I say...this tour was just completely excellent. Grandmaster Caz was so engaging, so personable, so knowledgable. The other people working on the tour were great too.
To see the projects and other landmarks that I had previously only seen in hip-hop videos...incredible. The soul food lunch was delicious. Another thing about this tour is you see a lot of cool things besides hip-hop landmarks during the bus ride, like Central Park, Apollo Theatre, etc. The history of Harlem was undeniable.
Anyway, to wrap up, I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Interesting, comfortable, entertaining...this tour had it all. |

| We attended the Hip Hop tour led by pioneering hip hop legends in New York. The tour was fantastic and led by people who really cared about where they came from! I was led by my brother who is a keen hip hop fan - and although I'm not an expert I do like the music! I loved it - because it was about more than music - it was about people's desire to display their identity and to teach others! I would highly recommend the tour and I would tell anyone visiting New York to give it a go as Harlem, the bronx, the people and the music is such a big part of the BIG apple! The lunch was great and everyone was really friendly and fun! WOW!! |
