| This was my first time in NYC but it will definitely not be my last.
The tour was great! It gives you an inside look of the start of Hip Hop. Kurtis Blow was my tour guide and did a wonderful job telling the hip hop history and linking it to the sites along the tour. The tour also gives you a chance to see Harlem and Bronx. I recommend this to the "old and new school" hip hop fans. |

| My wife and I took our two teenage sons on the tour when we were on holiday in New York. We had expected to endure the tour rather than enjoy it. The opposite was certainly the case. The day we went it was very very cold. New york was just getting over it's biggest ever single snow fall. The warmth of the greeting we received along with the burning enthusiasm made sure it was all worthwhile.
The guides, Rahiem and Red Alert gave us a lot of good information with passion and humour. There was loads of interaction with us. I was personaly struck by the fact that neither of these guys needed to be there. It was not a chore for them. They were obviously keen to impart their love of Hip-Hop and Rap to a wider audience.
The highlights for me were the performance on the bus by Rahiem and the meal in the very good restaurant in Harlem. The boys loved it all.
There are only two small points I would like to make that might improve things slightly: firstly it may be an idea to forget the hat and bling, give them to the guests to keep, or at least let them know when they are given out that they are only on loan. The other thing is that I'm sure an arrangement could be made to allow the tour guides to get a key for the graffiti wall, particularly as this tour promotes such a positive image of the art.

| My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the hip hop tour. We were greeted warmly and the day proceeded from there. Rafim did two amazing "raps" that made it clear to me that hip hop is clearly poetry to a beat. The group was an interesting mix all fun to be with. We found the tour to be educational and just plain fun. Be prepared that a lot of the places that hip hop originated have changed hands through the years, but we were still given the information to allow us to understand hip hop culture from its origins. We recommend it highly. |

| The Hip-Hop tour was a great time from start to finish. It delivered everything that was promised. The leaders were friendly and very knowledgeable. I'd recommend this tour enthusiastically. |

| My kids and I loved this tour. Raheim and DJ Red Alert were AMAZING guides. They explained the significance of various stops along the way, and gave us first hand information of how it all started. Their enthusiasm and knowledge were awesome.
I would recommend this memorable tour to anyone who loves hip hop. |

| Enjoyed the time, wished it went into the Bronx a little deeper. A ride around Yankee stadium was not what I expected. Could have been more about the birthplace and neighborhoods. |

| What a great time! Totally worth the price! Grandmaster Cas was knowledgeable and entertaining. The trip highlighted the four pillars of hip hop, b-boying, MCing, DJing and graf art. I learned a lot about the origins of hip hop, took lots of pictures, learned basic b-dancin' moves, and even got a chance to show off some MC skills.
Pros: lots of fun, interactive, educational, just the right length, lunch included
Cons: don't take this tour if you have no interest in hip hop, but that should go without saying. It's not a general tour of NYC with an emphasis on hip hop. It's all about hip hop.
Suggestions: CDs are available for sale, but it would be nice to have the Kangol hats for sale as well. Maybe throw in the plastic bling bling as part of the tour.

If you like Hip Hop you will definately enjoy this tour - meaning: if you think you want to go, you will enjoy yourself. I've read all the books, heard the albums, seen the movies, but still learned much. Just meeting Grandmaster Caz was enough for me! (Tour guides can vary.) As a tour guide he was welcoming, funny, entertaining, and exciting. I even found the other tour goers interesting as most were from out of the country: Scotland, Kenya, Japan, Germany, London, etc. The food was good too.
Hesitant Recommendation For:
Locals - Being my first visit to NYC I especially enjoyed the drive with additional sights including the Apollo, Malcolm X Ave, and Yankee Stadium. But this MAY be redundant for someone who has seen it all already.
Haters and perpetrators - I do believe enjoyment of this tour hinged on letting oneself enyoy the community of hip hop which means enjoying the tour guide and others on the tour. If you have a stick up your butt, this tour will not remove it for you. |

| I have never been very interested in Hip-Hop, but my husband has been brought up on the music, so I booked this for him.
What a great excursion this was. We both thouroughly enjoyed it, learning about where it all started from someone who was there at the beginning.
This is a MUST DO TRIP. There was a mixture of ages and nationalities and every one all seemed to enjoy it.
It also gave us a chance to see a part of Harlem and the Bronx which we may not have ventured into before, being tourists in a different country.
All in all it was a great day.

| Excellent and entertaining tour. Great fun, informative and done with great humour.
Bought 6 of Grandmaster Caz's CDs and NONE work on any cd player I have tried so far. It it because I live in Scotland, and we are backward? I think not! $55 wasted!
Tour highly recomended - just don't buy the CDs!
