| I really enjoyed the tour, especially the way GM Caz presented it. that was great. I liked the places we went to, perhaps lunch was a little too long, |

| We had a blast. I would recommend that the person waiting for us at the p/u spot have a printed sign or badge on with the tour name. When we got to the spot we didn't know if we were at the right place and approach a couple people before we got to the right person. Also, our tour was on 7/1/06. I had my confirmation but was not on the list. There was no problem we were welcomed on the tour. The information was very informative and the time on the bus was filled with music, fun, and hip hop trivia. The stops were interesting. We had a problem getting to the Bronx due to a baseball game. Prior planning could have allowed for another route to be taken. We spend a lot of time sitting in traffic. It was also a little disappointing that we had to return the "bling bling". It would have been a nice souvenir. The food was good and allowed for the foreigners to experience "soul food". Keep up the good work. I would recommend the tour to others that visit NY. |

| Grandmaster Caz was part entertainer, part educator, and part cultural icon. The tour bus was comfortable, the tour staff respectful and knowledgeable, and the tour was both educational and entertaining. |

| My sister and I took our sons, ages 14 and 16. My son is the one who's interested in hip hop, but we all had a great time! Grand Master Cas was an awesome tour guide and had a lot of interesting stories and information about the sites. We got to see parts of New York that we otherwise wouldn't have been to. I would definitely recommend taking in this tour. Oh, and lunch was great, too! |

| My granddaughter and I (at her request) found Hush Hip Hop Tours online. Grand Master Cas led our tour and was extremely informative about the origins and evolution of Hip Hop. Like many musical pioneers, he had his own story to tell about the very beginning of Hip Hop and how some of his early material was used without his inclusion in future financial gain. Our bus was not especially lively or open to interaction, unfortunately. I think we ended up mostly with tourists and folks who weren't into the rap. Cas was extraordinarily knowledgeable and the B-boys were terrific, too! The tour could be expanded in a way that would encourage more participation and questions among those with a desire to know the genre. Too, the significance of Harlem as the cultural heartbeat of Black Americans could be expanded. I will recommend this tour and I would also take other visitors on it. Many kudos to the founder of this tour, Debbie, and Grand Master Cas for undertaking this important effort. |

| A delightful tour that really captures the flavour of the early days of hip hop. All first hand experience - you can't get this stuff any other way. My 16 year old and I had a great time. |

| Enjoyed the time, wished it went into the Bronx a little deeper. A ride around Yankee stadium was not what I expected. Could have been more about the birthplace and neighborhoods. |

Shame about the CDs!

| Excellent and entertaining tour. Great fun, informative and done with great humour.
Bought 6 of Grandmaster Caz's CDs and NONE work on any cd player I have tried so far. It it because I live in Scotland, and we are backward? I think not! $55 wasted!
Tour highly recomended - just don't buy the CDs!

| My son is an aspiring hip hop DJ and he has brought this music form to me by our attending concerts and other hip hop related events the past few years. So participating in the Hip Hop Tour in NYC was a "must see" for him and turned out to be one of the best things we did during our visit.
The tour was well run and well organized and led by a very gifted tour guide/storyteller/legend of hip hop Grandmaster Caz. Caz brought the story of the history of hip hop to life with his enthusiasm, humor and engaging rapport with the participants.
The tour itself brought us to parts of NY that few tourist visit- Harlem, Spanish Harlem, the Bronx, but it was Caz' relaying of the importance of each area to the creation of the hip hop culture that made visiting these sites relevant and enjoyable.
Grandmaster Caz emphatically made it known to the group that hip hop is alive on the streets of NYC, and demonstrated that when we made an impromptu stop to watch and cheer on a group of break dancers near Central Park.
As we were heading back near the end of the tour, Caz was rapping and had all of us into it- clapping and moving to the beat and his words. We pulled up alongside a city bus and an older woman could not believe what she was seeing and hearing on the tour bus next to her- eventually smiling and waving her approval.
Don't hesitate to take part in this unique New York experience. |
