Spent most of the time in the bus

I wish we had more places to visit where we could get out of the bus. I wish we had listened more music and less talk. It is too expensive to be in the bus for nearly three hours and eat at a $4.99 all you can eat buffet. I have eaten soul food all my life, and was disappointed. The host was kind and funny; but patronizing and not very open to dialogue. I am not crazy about tours and was trying to have a positive experience. Had it been less expensive and lasted 2 hours only, I would have enjoyed more.

The tour was really great and interesting. Visited loads of places with great commentary from Curtis Blow and Reggie Reg. Would definately reccommend the tour when in New York. i particularly enjoyed going to the appollo and didnt expect to be able to go in definately an added bonus and an honour.Thanks.

My granddaughter and I (at her request) found Hush Hip Hop Tours online. Grand Master Cas led our tour and was extremely informative about the origins and evolution of Hip Hop. Like many musical pioneers, he had his own story to tell about the very beginning of Hip Hop and how some of his early material was used without his inclusion in future financial gain. Our bus was not especially lively or open to interaction, unfortunately. I think we ended up mostly with tourists and folks who weren't into the rap. Cas was extraordinarily knowledgeable and the B-boys were terrific, too! The tour could be expanded in a way that would encourage more participation and questions among those with a desire to know the genre. Too, the significance of Harlem as the cultural heartbeat of Black Americans could be expanded. I will recommend this tour and I would also take other visitors on it. Many kudos to the founder of this tour, Debbie, and Grand Master Cas for undertaking this important effort.

We were honored to have Kurtis Blow as our tour guide and he was wonderful. He was of course, very knowledgeable and also enthusiastic and fun.

I am going to recommend this tour to anyone I know visiting NY, there is such a stigma attached to places like Harlem and its a shame. The tour was excellent and put together with great enthusiasm. Grandmaster Caz made the tour what it was, well worth it....

The tour was excellent, the amount of knowledge and insiders information the tour guides (Kurtis Blow and the Crash Crew) could provide is unparalleled to any tour I've ever done in the US! We saw a lot of the great historic hip hop sights NYC has to offer and the tour was well balanced: It gave enough insight into the culture to understand how it must've been like in the old days, we made a couple of interesting stops at famous locations which made the knowledge touchable and last but not least we ate chicken with great rap legends :-) . If you repect hip hop (or even cultures in general) you'll find this tour amazing, Aias

My English is bad, but i must say, that me (44 years old) and my son (15 years old) enjoyed the tuor very much. The New York trip was a present for my sun for his graduation at scool, and as special surprise for him the firs day was the hiphop tour. He enjoyed every minut of it. He is stil talkimg about the tour .He remembered every details of it. I am yust an Eminem fan but the tour realy gives me all the informations about the begining of hiphop, about the importance of some people, musicials and so on. WE realy enjoed it. The organisation was good, the bus and lunch too. The best of the best was of course the guy who lead the tour. He did not introuduce himself so I do not know his name. He is living enciklopedia of hiphop. Thanks, Mojca from Ljubljana, Slovenija, Europe

I really enjoyed the Hip Hop Tour Led by Pioneers

When I reserved my tickets for the event, the customer service representative was extremely helpful. My group and I enjoyed the Hip Hop Tour very much. Grandmaster Caz is charismatic and humorous and made the tour extremely interesting in spite of the lack of music and DVD that are normally featured during the tour. I'm vegetarian and I was accomodated with a delicious vegetarian option for lunch. I enjoyed viewing the graffiti wall, but would have liked for someone to be available to explain the history and meaning of graffiti to the hip hop culture. It would have been great to talk to the artists directly, but it was the changing of the wall and some of them were busy finishing up their artwork.
