"Fantastic Day Out - HIGHLY Recommended"
Sat, Apr 30, 05   11:00 AM FionaWarren Female 30-39 International Tourist(s) Family Without Children
We attended the Hip Hop tour led by pioneering hip hop legends in New York. The tour was fantastic and led by people who really cared about where they came from! I was led by my brother who is a keen hip hop fan - and although I'm not an expert I do like the music! I loved it - because it was about more than music - it was about people's desire to display their identity and to teach others! I would highly recommend the tour and I would tell anyone visiting New York to give it a go as Harlem, the bronx, the people and the music is such a big part of the BIG apple! The lunch was great and everyone was really friendly and fun! WOW!!

All I can say, is that if you`re just a litttle bit interested in hip hop and afro-american culture, this tour is a must if you`re in new york. I enjoyed the whole trip, and the pioneers made sure I was never bored, not inside and not outside the bus. After one week in new york, this tour was definitely my biggest experience..

The info was interesting.

The tour contained 2 parts: 1. Grandmaster Caz / Reggie Reg giving information about Hiphop: how it originated and how it is now. 2. Several places that were important for Hiphop: 125th street, Graffiti Hall of fame, Rucker Park basketball court, etc. The part that I liked most was the information that Caz and Reg gave. It was very interesting even if you know things about Hiphop and how it originated it is interesting.

This tour was terrific. Grandmaster Caz was the best tour guide I've ever had the pleasure of being in the company of. Hip Hop should be recognized by the city of New York for the culture institution that it is. Where are the plaques? In any case, take the tour now while it's intimate and small, because it will all have to explode some day and be honored as the great cultural force that it is!

I am a 41 year old and I enjoyed the Hip Hop tour. I was accompanied by my mother, who is 64 years old and she too enjoyed every bit of the tour. My children, ages 16 and 10 still rave and brag about it to all their friends!! Grandmaster Cas was the best! He provided a very thorough tour and detailed information on the history of Hip Hop music. Not only was Cas informative, but he made the tour a very enjoyable one for me and my family!! Learning has never been this fun!!! Thanks to Zerve for offering this unique tour for all to enjoy!!!!!! Now I can't wait to take my husband and brothers on this tour! :-) Thanks again, Carla Bobo Native of Pittsburgh, PA, residing in Maryland

The 411 on this Hip Hop tour is this. "Outstanding" it was the highlight of my trip to Nyc I want to thank Debra (Hush Tours) and the Legend "CAZ" (Cold Crush) for a Fun, Informative and most memberable Ride down Hip Hop History! From Manhattan to Harlem this is a Hands on tour where they stopped and gave us a brief discription of historical places, events and people of Hip Hop culture... whether you are OldSchool or NewSchool this a Must see when your in Nyc! Peace.

The Best Tour in all of New York
Sat, Jun 18, 05   11:00 AM nieveMC Unspecified 20-29 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
My best time in New York , by far, was being a part of the Hip Hop Tour, Raheim (original member of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five) was the illest tour guide I could ask for. The tour heightened my awareness and love for hip hop, not to mention giving me a glimpse inside a part of New York I might never of seen. If you are a true hip hop head, dont miss this tour ...it's a classic. --NIEVE

I really enjoyed the Hip Hop Tour Led by Pioneers

When I reserved my tickets for the event, the customer service representative was extremely helpful. My group and I enjoyed the Hip Hop Tour very much. Grandmaster Caz is charismatic and humorous and made the tour extremely interesting in spite of the lack of music and DVD that are normally featured during the tour. I'm vegetarian and I was accomodated with a delicious vegetarian option for lunch. I enjoyed viewing the graffiti wall, but would have liked for someone to be available to explain the history and meaning of graffiti to the hip hop culture. It would have been great to talk to the artists directly, but it was the changing of the wall and some of them were busy finishing up their artwork.

A MUST FOR THE MISINFORMED HIP HOP HEAD
Sat, Jul 2, 05   11:00 AM telephoneman Male 30-39 Local Family With Children
My family and I really enjoyed the Hush Tour experience. It was a must for those who think they know about the origins of Hip Hop, especially the young ones. Rahiem was mad cool and insightful. Get the real meaning and feel of Hip Hop and be ready to be a real Hip Hop head because you have to know and embrace where it started to fully understand Hip Hop! WORD!!!!
