A fun but also highly educational activity.

This was the second time I took this tour (I was the only person that day that had been in NYC before, and that had already taken the tour in the past). The fact that I included it in that weekend's activities for my second niece suggests how much I enjoyed it. I love Kaz--he's professional, fun, and attentive to all. And the gentleman who was the overall minder that day (sorry I forget his name) was similarly wonderful. This hip hop tour is an activity for both those into hip hop (usually a younger crowd) and people like me (who likes hip hip but doesn't follow it up as such) but who's interested in cultural history. Beyond what my 16 year-old niece learned about hip hop and about Harlem and the Bronx through the tour, I was able to explain to her things about Malcolm X, Fred. Douglass, the Harlem Renaissance, etc. as we were driving through streets bearing these names. The only thing I was not crazy about both times I took the tour was the food. But that's not a problem as such. If I bring my nephew to NYC next year, I'll probably take the tour again--perhaps you'll consider offer me a discount! One suggestion: Consider offering your tours on alternate days in the week. Someone like who can come to NYC only on a weekend has no option but to take the same tour. Not that I wouldn't like seeing Kaz again . . . Smaro

The tour is amazing and far exceeded our expectations. Grandmaster Caz and JDL are even more charismatic and informative then you could hope for. And really, who could be better guides to entertain you as they give you the real of the birth of Hip-Hop!? If you consider yourself at all part of the Hip-Hop movement from anywhere in the world you MUST take this tour. Peace

First I would like to say Thank You for having this tour. I have been wanting to visit New York since I was a little kid, and going to the place where Hip Hop was born was on the top of my list. I wanted to rent a car and drive to some of these places my self but this was much better. You can't get any better than having members of the Legendary Cold Crush Brothers as your tour guides, let me repeat. It does not get any better then having members of the Legendary Cold Crush Brothers as your tour guides. They were there when it started, they were why it started. Total respect goes out to them. It is a four hour journey through the History of Hip Hip hop. I always read about these places or heard them mentioned on multiple songs, but to actually see them was worth every penny. My favorite part of the tour would have to be visiting the Graffiti Hall of Fame and Sedgwick Ave. Take this tour and learn through people who were actually there when Hip Hop was at its infant stages. Can't wait to go back.

Awesome Tour learning facts about Hip Hop && very entertaining what the guys have in store for you. I decided to surprise my husband who is a die hard hip hop fan with this tour. He was really surprised! The tour guides were great! They knew their material, were very enthusiastic, interesting and funny! I loved how they got the group involved. Our group was very diverse. I would recommend going with true hip hop lovers and at least 4 people you know.

This is a great tour for those Hip Hop fans that want to learn more about the orgins of Hip Hop. Plus, see the sites where it all too place. I thought I knew the story but to hear it from people who lived it gave me a whole new outlook. JDL and Caz did their thing! They were great host. Two very down to earth brothas. I would definitely recommend the "Bronx, Harlem Birthplace of Hip Hop tour" and I look forward to taking one of the many other tours on my next vist to NY.

my son (9yrs) did a breakdance performance in the heart of Spanish Harlem, supported by a professional Brooklyn breaker, hosted by MC Grandmaster Caz and JDL. A lifetime experience, and not only for him but for us as well !

The tour was great. The legend JDL told stories from back in the days and took us to the original birthplaces of hip hop.
