Birthplace of Hip Hop Tour - Harlem & The Bronx

I booked the tour as a surprise for my friends birthday as I wanted to experience something different from the usual touristy things and I'm so glad I did! Grandmaster Caz was witty, knowledgeable and an awesome tour guide. Went to places id never have visited on my own and it was such an experience. Even if you aren't that into hip hop but would just like to see "Real" New York where the actual residents live go on this tour! Also amazing was our b boi can't remember his name but he was class! When else would u get the chance to try street dancing outside Yankee Stadium! All in all I would give this tour 10/10 and would recommend it to anyone who just fancies doing something different in NYC!! Would definitely go on one of the other tours they offer next time I'm over from Ireland again!

Thoroughly enjoyable tour taking in all aspects of the hip hop culture- music, graffitti, b-boy dance with enthusiastic guide Grandmaster Cash. Takes in parts of NYC that one would not usually visit as a tourist. Great for both hip hop afficianados and those wanting to learn about the genre.

Interesting mix of entertainments and facts. Nice grandmaster Caz and good organisation even thou SANDY had happen.

The guides was absolutely the best and they gave us the best introduction to HipHop you can dream of. We really loved the tour and thought it was four awesome hours. We'll be back!

The Tour has been through some changes since I was there last year - definetly to the better. I will be back with new students!

I highly recommend this tour for anyone who is looking for a good time and wants to learn about a unique part of American history. It is very easy to fall in love with the culture that is hip hop through this tour due to its enthusiastic tour guides and interactive activities. This tour is now a priority for me while in NYC.

First off, let me express my deep gratitude to Grandmaster Caz for taking the time to share his experiences and insight. His knowledge, wit, and great personality made the entire tour a 100% success. If you just stumbled upon hip-hop yesterday or have been a fan for 25 years like me, this tour has something for you. The depth of hip-hop culture (MC'ing, DJ, Grafiti art, and Breaking) needs a guide like Caz who has been there from the beginning and helped create the culture itself. Truly something out of nothing! The tour stopped at several locations in Manhattan and the Bronx that are integral to hip hop culture and history. Caz took the time to make sure everyone understood the significance of these stops. The tour was very interactive. Lot's of chances to ask and answer questions, do some call and response to Caz's amazing MC'ing, and even try to do a bit of breaking. The frosting on the cake was lunch at Jacob's Soul Food restaurant - the food was out of this world! Bottom line - this tour was a fantastic experience, and if you have a chance, GO!
