| This tour was great! It provides a great opportunity to walk through the streets of Harlem, all while getting informed on old school hip-hop culture and history. I highly recommend it. |

| Not only our children enjoyed the walk very much, even my wife and myself were very amused about the enthusiastic way our guide explained the early days of the Hip-Hop movement.
It was a very enjoyable (and safe) way to get to know Harlem a little bit better as well. |

| We were looking to do something different in NY and this certainly ticked the box. This is a great tour around Harlem and fantastic insight into the origins of Hip Hop music, provided by Reggie Reg from the legendary Crash Crew. If anything, the time went too quick. | CWe enjoyed our host, Reggie Reg, who was friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Had trouble hearing what he was saying due to street noise. But aside from the graffitti wall of fame (really unique), we did not see much that was specific to hip hop culture or history. Also some stops listed on the web site -- hip hop clubs, oldest record store in Harlem -- were not visited and the Apollo stop was just a brief step into the lobby. The MSNY stop at the beginning, especially the video, had nothing to do with the tour, really. Better would have been a stop to see a video with some of the hip hop performers mentioned by our host. |

| I'm 19 from Scotland, and me and ma bro(13) persuaded my mum to go on the tour with Reggie Reg from the Crash crew (cool as ice!!) Was a little aprehencious (dunno bout the spelling?!) bout the tour when i found out it was just us three cause other people got lost, plus me and ma bro are more into new skool rap. But learning all about hip hop's origins with an absolute legend was not only informative but exciting, felt like i was walking during the era that Reggie Reg covers. We walked through Harlem and learned all about it's history for 2 hours and it just flew in. If you want to learn bout 50 cent or Jay Z...go on the net! For a real live feel for hip hop, check out the tour!!!

| The tour was really well organised and even not being an expert in Hip Hop it gave a good insight on the start of it and its history.
In addition it was fantastic to get some impression on the variety of Harlem.
We really recommend the tour! |

| Overall, I thought the experience was well intentioned but I felt it came up short in a few ways. Our guide was very friendly and personable. It was great to have a member of a pioneering hiphop group, but I felt he could have benefited from some specific training in tour operation. He brought up a lot of interesting facts and stories but I thought his historical knowledge was a bit sprawling and patchy.
The tour was really about the origins of hiphop more than anything, and not so much it's evolution. Basically we got as far as RUN DMC (which is really just the beginning), and stopped there. Also, the video at the beginning, while interesting did not relate to hiphop specifically. I think the video should be recommended to the tour group but should not take up a half hour of the tour.
Great idea, many simple ways to make it alot better. |

| This tour I would recommend. The guide was both knowledgeable and passionate about his subject. I saw parts of New York I would not have seen and learned some local history in the bargain. Make sure you are up for a good walk and you will enjoy this tour gauranteed. You must also try some soul food at the end. great !! thanks Reggie from Dad and Jon Boy |

| My girlfriend (she is not a huge hip hop fan) and I attended the Harlem Walk it Out Hip Hop Tour. Our tour guide was Reggie Reg of the Crash Crew. He was so nice and knowledgeable. We really appreciated his outlook and the hands on approach the tour had. Nothing beats actually walking through Harlem and taking in all of the sights, sounds and smells. Be sure to have a lot of questions of your own to ask in order to really get the most of out of Reggie Reg. This tour is very much alive and interactive and is best suited for those who have don't have all the answers. My girlfriend came away with a definite deeper understanding of why I love to pump my hip hop loud now.
We saw many historical areas that, while not specific to hip hop, were of great interest to me regarding Harlems history. We passed by many street vendors and I picked up a fantastic t-shirt featuring the Notrious B.I.G. off one of the street vendors. We wwnt into a record store as well where I would have liked to buy a few things. My point is that you should carry a little extra money if you want to buy anything during the tour. Of course another highlight was the Soul Food lunch we had. I am telling you that if you come hungry you will leave stuffed. The food was great and the people in the restaurant were very nice. All in all a great one of a kind tour that I want to encourage everyone to go on.
I also purchased the CD from Hush Tours when I purchased the tickets and Reggie Reg brought it for me. I highly recommend this CD as it contains many of the hits of early hip hop. If you do not have an extensive collection of hip hop classics then you should for sure spend the 12 bucks and get this bad boy. Of course it also helps take me back to 106 and Park in Harlem everytime I pop it in my cars cd player! Thanks again to Reggie Reg and everyone at Hush Tours! |
